This was an outstanding interview. Jimmy is a real real thing of what you see is what you get in person and on the stage.
The settlers were lucky to get him, and they were blessed to get him for his songwriting skills, singing, in guitar playing.
So glad that Jimmy made it through his heart surgery and back to normal again.
Betty Gordon, Iowa fan forever and I met and visited with Jimmy twice at the I was statefair when he performed there with Leroy Van Dyke country singers.

Jimmy fortune has the finest hi tenor voice bar none. My wife and I saw him twice just a few years ago in Branson and he put on a fantastic show. He is just a down to earth person. Thank you for the music, the stories and just for being real.

I always loved the Statler Brothers - many (many) years ago I had the privilege of seeing them in a concert in Toronto (I believe it was in Massey Hall - which was built for acoustics). Four men sounded like an entire choir - just fantastic. "Bed of Roses", "Silver Medals & Sweet Memories" & "Susan when she tried" are only a few of my favourites.

That was fun to watch again. I am especially touched by the humbleness and references to how God moved them in their life.

Was Jimmy lucky to becoming a Statler Brother or were the Statlers lucky to get him? I think both applies.

Jimmy walked into a situation where his Hall-of-Fame ticket was already punched, so it was a great deal for him. But Jimmy wrote and sang lead on half a dozen hit songs, which kept the Statler Brothers in the major leagues for another 6 years, right up until the Garth Era, which was better than what they could have expected when they brought him on.

I agree. They were as lucky to get him as he was. I also think his new group, Brothers of the Heart, has a better harmony than the SB did.
