This is beyond perfect for me. I’m severely ADHD but am really good at remembering and learning and pick up on things very quickly. In lecture, I do however lose interest very quick especially when there’s unneeded details and conversation. This is the best series of videos for me I’ve found because it’s fast-paced, short, has humor, has the details I need, and is highly visual and colorful. So thank you sir! You’re making college and a science career possible for someone who doesn’t learn well the traditional way.

cytosol is the soluble part of cytoplasm...
easy to remember by the name..

  • @jesusjhonruiz9465

The difference between the cytoplasm and cytosol are the contents that are present in them. The cytosol is a liquid substance inside the cell/plasma membrane where all the organelles float. On the other hand, the cytoplasm is described as a jelly structure, and it contains every organelles (for prokaryotic cells), including the cytosol, inside of the cell membrane, except for the nucleus (for the eukaryotic cells).

To summarize, cytosol is basically the liquid type of cytoplasm.

The cytosol is the fluid within the cell, and the cytoplasm is the whole cell except the nucleus, which involves cytosol and the organelles

Yes you're correct, there are two layers of a lipid (composed of the head and tail), tail meets tail, heads on opposite sides

I think there is a little confusion in this area...Even when a book calls a membrane a "single membrane”, it's still a bilayer membrane.
