Diving Chief Dragon wreck, Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Chief Dragon is a massive car transport ship that sank in 1983. Parts of the cars are still visible on the decks although like much of the wreck are overgrown with hard and soft coral. One of the most colorful dives in Sri Lanka with a good selection of corals, fish and invertebrates. The feature of this dive are the resident schools of snappers and fusiliers. Tuna, wahoo, trevally and eagle rays are also regular visitors to this site. For wreck enthusiasts there is a lot to explore with penetration possible into some of the holds below decks
