I got many cancellations also on the clone trooper command station.set, but 2 days ago it let bought 5 more again (before they got sold out).
So here's my question: why lego is still showing sets that are "out of stock" that we know they are not coming back on shelves?
Ask MandR: A long question, but I feel like you would provide an interesting answer. Is LEGO’s high quality builds in the UCS line putting themselves out of work?
I don’t see any reason for LEGO to ever remake any of the big 4 (Millennium Falcon, Star Destroyer, AT-AT, Razor Crest) as a UCS set. I feel like those sets are so near perfect, any improvements and new techniques the LEGO design team makes over the next 10 years would lead to marginal improvements at best for the aforementioned sets. Once they go back and redesign all the big hits, what new ships will be left for LEGO to design. They can’t just keep making bigger and bigger Millennium Falcons before no one is left willing to buy a $1500 set, let alone have room to display the set in their house. Additionally, new Disney+ content won’t keep pace with creating 2 UCS worthy ships every year.
I would love a battle pack for the early-stage stormtroopers in bad batch!
Ask MandR: Do you think lego will bring back limited items in sets such as chrome Vader or Mr. Gold?
I would prefer they don’t have different version of the clones for animation and movies. The animated versions are just a stylized representation of the live action armor, so in universe, they would all look like the movie armor. But that brings up a different question… why not have them more accurate to the movie representation instead of a mixed design? I do however like the consistency with the clones right now, so that my army isn’t a mix of designs.

Honestly, I’m glad that Lego mixed the CW and movie styles of clone armor. If I was building a clone army I wouldn’t want some of my clones to look a certain way and other clones to look a different way

The best one of the visor connected helmets were the ones from poe’s black 1 x-wing, in 2018 they just made them worse
16:31 So as a LEGO Store employee, who has worked for almost 5 years. This isn’t a rule among all stores or anything. It might be different in the US, but I work in Sweden and we don’t get one of each GWP, we might get one free every now and then on occasion but it’s never been the case that they are handed out to employees. Most of the time we have to earn them the same way as everyone else by buy over the threshold of the GWP. (This is just my experience and I’m not speaking on the behalf of anyone else)

I don’t think they can do a gunship at $170. That’d just be too big.

I bought x2 66708 Galactic Adventure Pack for $25 each and x5 71360 Super Mario Starter Course for $25 as well. Bowsers airship for $28.99 and dont get me started the sets I was able to pick up at my local Collectible Store!

im a barber in chicago, been one for along time and work at two shops, generally im booked up in advance but i will suggest to steer away from chain shops, just pay a little more for good work. if your back in chicago for any reason come to my shop, i will make you look normal. toss me a minifig or something unique. i would fix that by pushing the front forward and just nip the tips lightly with even some kitchen sheers, just soften the front up lightly so its at least even. easy

The pick a brick walls near where I live are at least 3 times smaller then that.
I love the fact that animated clones and movie clones look the same. As a kid I never understood why they had to look different. To me having two separate designs always felt kinda goofy, because when i used them in mocs and stuff I always preferred if the overall clone was the same and only the printing differed. But thats just my opinion.
Mixing the tow styles of clonetrooper armor is one of the worst decisions the LSW team has made.
There were two different styles for obvious reasons.
The previous 2013 clonetroopers were near perfect and the CW animated styled clonetroopers were a welcomed addition, however these 2020 "cohesive" clonetroopers have much to be desired and are littered with problems.
Helmets:
(These don't apply for the P1 helmets since they're unchanged for the most part)
-The coloured print on the helmets doesn't meet up to the fin on the top.
-Cheeks are shaded via printing.
-The oddly placed holes make the helmets wider.
-The visor looks more CW than anything.
Torso:
-They're predominantly CW looking.
-The abdominal section is raised way too high in the chest causing the blue pattern to look really weird on the 501st.
-The 501st officer is the only 501st minifigure that has blue printed on the upper back. (All regular 501st should have this, especially if this is based off EA BF2).
The 212th are also missing orange on their upper backs. (Unlike the 2014 variant)
Legs:
The legs are probably the only improvement.
-Lego scrapped cloth waste capes and now they're printing them only on the fronts of the legs.
Lego scrapped the near perfect 2013 - 2017 CT armor and replaced it with this "cohesive" dumbed down Clone Wars animated looking armor, which has had several problems, unlike the peak clone armor we've had prior.
If it ain't broke, don't "fix it".
Same can be said about the new stormtroopers.
@@beddeb45 If Lego would put out a movie version for every cw version of a clone they release and vica versa( like the 501st) I would not complain. In 2013 or around that time Lego made a movie version of the 212th, Kashyyk, Geonosis and the regular p2 trooper. They also released a clone wars shock trooper, 501st, 212th and wolfpack trooper. The only one that got both designs were the 212th. I think Lego has changed a lot in the last 10 years and not necessarily for the better. I just dont see the possibility of them puting out 2 versions of even one of their new clones. So if I had to choose to have a mix of episode 3 and clone wars clones in my army that look only remotely alike or have the same clone only in different colors I would choose the 2nd option. (As for the 2020 clone designs I like it a lot, my only complaint is with those new helmet holes they are as stupid as it can be)

The Lego UK website still has the Clone Command Station out of stock, and a limit of only 2. I haven’t been able to buy them.
i agree with lego, i like having cohesive clones between ep2,3 and CW. Do u have an issue with how black series does it? because its very similar, they're clone wars clones arent in CW style

Ask MandR: Where/who did you buy your Mandalorian Warriors in bulk from, same goes for other foil packs that are not available in the United States.
Ask MandR: the mixed media clone trooper problem is not exclusive to lego, it is also happening with Star Wars black series and Hot Toys clone trooper figures. A good example is any of the Walgreens exclusive 212th trooper black series figure that has realistic armor, an elongated torso to match the animated proportions, and an animated helmet. While I agree it’s an issue, it’s unfair to point the blame at lego considering it’s a brand wide decision, blame should be pointed at lucasfilm
