The Arab Revolt was a British movement lol and as an Arab I denounce all who took part in it. Islam sees no ethnicities and races in the Quran the followers of the prophet are referred to as muslims not Arabs therefore the turks and all other races are no different than Arabs. The Arab Revolt was a mockery and got Mecca and Medina captured by the British and anyone who defends this is ignorant.
This is the truth, arab revolt was treason against Islam. It was a Zionist orchestration that was fulfilled by Western allied forces and puppeted out by misguided, opportunist Arabs. Facts.

The movie does not portray Lawrence as a hero. He fails at the end and it is clearly shown. It's a movie about a conflicted individual who got lost while searching for his own identity. The historical background makes the story more interesting, but it could be a story about anyone, and it resonates with many.
Each and every muslim should know because there are many cases like this. In Arab it's Lawrence and other part of world are other people like him apparently well wishers of Muslim but actually have agenda against muslim. So Muslim don't fight with each other ... we all did mistakes
The movie was not written by TE Lawrence- don't blame him or its faults. Read the 7 Pillars of Wisdom. In that book, Lawrence gave enormous credit to British soldiers and Bedouin Arabs. He was not racist and held Arabs in high esteem. He was a very tough resourceful soldier and an intellectual. By and large, he was shy and modest.
Arab betrayal now it’s not important for Türkiye republic The 10 NATO Countries With the Largest Militaries: 1)United States 2)Turkey💪🏻 3)France 4)Germany 5)Italy 6)United Kingdom 7)Greece 8)Spain 9)Poland 10)Romania
Lawrence of Arabia drove a wedge between Turkish and Arabian Muslims. He told arabs that they were being deprived of their rights by the Turks, which wasn't the case. Turkish Muslims and Arab Muslims used to be like brothers. May Allah unite all Muslims again, Ameen . La ilaha il Allah , there's no god but Allah.
The Turks were known for their cruelty to the Arabs and the Arab Revolt was started by King Hussein long before Lawrence was in the desert and before the British. The Turks had an empire, the Ottoman Empire and it was crumbling. The British fought against the Turks because the Turks sided with the Germans in the First World War who were enemies of the British. The Turks were already divided from Arabs long before Lawrence or the British came to fight.
I don’t think the movie depicted Lawrence as a hero but rather showed the downfall of a man who had beliefs of grandiosity. His character eroded over time. Also, it’s worth looking into why some of the tribes of Arabia who had Lawrence live amongst them revered him so much as to name their sons “Awrance”? Until today it remains the only western name for man that is socially acceptable. I’m not saying that the movie had problematic elements and I have no doubt that Lawrence was serving the English imperial power but I wonder if the man’s allegiance remained consistent throughout his career.
This video makes valid points about problematic orientalism and historical inaccuracies in the film, as well as the actions of the British during WWI, but it also grossly misinterprets the movie and the real Lawrence's actions, motivations, and character. The film itself is anti-British, anti-imperialist, and anti-White Saviour. The British are shown openly scheming to deceive the Arabs and carve up the middle east in their own interests. British officers a shown as racist, and far from depicting him as a hero, Lawrence is shown as naïve and arrogant. The film deliberately subverts the White Saviour trope. The real Lawrence believed in Arab independence, not British and French rule, as this video claims. He was disgusted by the duplicity and broken promises of the British government and actively worked against the British after the war to try to win a better deal for the Arabs: negotiating on their behalf at Peace Conferences, publishing letters denouncing the British and French, and refusing a knighthood in the presence of the King in protest. He regretted his involvement in the Arab Revolt and admitted that trying to influence another people and country was naive and arrogant and that he'd had no right to do so. Far from depicting himself as a Rambo figure in The Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Lawrence is very honest about his own flaws and failures. He downplays the roles of other British and French officers in order to emphasise the importance of the Arab Revolt, not to glorify himself. He gave credit to Arab leaders where it was due. The Turks are depicted unfavourably because Lawrence witnessed Turkish atrocities at close hand: particularly a brutal massacre of women and children. He also admits to committing atrocities himself. Lawrence made unflattering statements about the Arabs, but also praised them elsewhere. He made equally scathing comments about the British and French. Lawrence co-operated with Lowell Thomas as he thought the publicity would help the Arab cause. He later regretted this and thought Thomas was a fool. At least some of the Bedouin Lawrence worked with respected him enough to name their sons and grandsons Lawrence. The kind of misinformation, bias, and distortion of history that this video presents is highly counterproductive, regardless of your race, nationality or religion: it only serves to fuel prejudice, ignorance, and hatred.
I'm so glad I'm Spanish and not British. I'm preparing a video proving the British Empire wasn't the biggest. Only hypocrites count oceans of sand but not oceans.
There is no denying that Lawrence led the attack on what was considered to be an impregnable Akaba and he successfully captured it which was quite an accomplishment by itself. Also he conducted a guerrilla war against the Turks and blew up many of their rail lines in Arabia. All this was accurately portrayed in the 1962 movie. He had no part in the tricky Allied diplomacy pursued during and after WWI.
Like the movie 300, this movie also twists facts to entertain the ill informed masses, sadly it is the method of choice in the West to display their psuedo-superiority. However, we are lucky to live during these times cause the world is changing.
Clearly you haven't watch Lord of the ring ..they potraying us Muslims as the orc during the siege of the fortress ...the scene was based during Constantinople siege by sultan mehmet.. The king crying for help but no one coming to help
@Al Barbarī cause they way of Salaf is on display in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and others, majority of us don't want these Wahabies and salafies to represent us.
The movie was not just inaccurate concerning historical facts it was also inaccurate as an adaptation from Lawrence's book as he admitted that he felt no glory but felt shame when he motivated the Arabs by the promise of a united land that he knew Britain will never fulfil
The facts that he was a spy and he ended turks empire. This is the only truth. Yes the film was inaccurate.but Turkish state media doesn't need to go this hard on a movie.
Don't take this video as a history lesson - it's about as misleading and biased as the movie it criticizes! The real Lawrence was disgusted with the actions of the British in the Middle East and deeply ashamed of his role in the war. He actively fought against his own government to try to win a better deal for the Arabs: publishing letters in newspapers denouncing the British and French, refusing a knighthood in the presence of the King, and throwing his medals into a river in protest. History is more complicated than simple heroes and villains. Seek out the facts for yourself.
@Baby Sama 712 Lawrence was far from beyond criticism, but he was certainly not evil. And he certainly never considered himself a hero. He wanted independent states for the Arabs, not British and French control, as this video claims. He predicted the unrest and bloodshed that would happen if the British and French carved up the Middle East for themselves, and actively tried to prevent this. I'm neither British nor French, so I have no reason for bias. But I have read many books about him (both in praise and highly critical of his actions) as well as literally hundreds of letters and reports written by Lawrence and have a much clearer idea of his character and motives than the creator of this video.
Great job on telling this story. Please do not act like you did in the end of the video. We want you to be a great role model for the youth. Do not portray yourself in a way that makes you look unprofessional. Keep up the great work. May Allah bless you and your family and give you all amazing things and success in this life and the next. We love you my brother.
At the same time that the Turks were commiting genocide against the Armenians and Assyrians they were starving the Arabs of greater Syria into submission. Syrian civilians suffered a huge rate of mortality through a deliberate policy of starvation and deprivation during the Arab Revolt years. There are valid criticisms in this video, especially of the movie version of history, but there are some distortions here, too. For instance, the "regular" soldiers of the Revolt who served under English, French or Arab officers wore uniforms, but there were also many bands of tribal cavalry like Auda Abu Tayi's Sharif Nasr's and Nuri Shaalan's riders, the Rualla cavalry and Druze cavalry none of whom wore uniforms. A significant distortion is the implication that Lawrence approved of the Anglo-French "betrayal by partition" of the Arabs. He hated that, and he made his feelings clear. In the end he washed his hands of all of it in a dishonorable way, but the many losses, traumas and horrors he'd suffered and the guilt of his participation in the betrayal haunted him and crippled his psyche.
While you make many good points, there is no shame in demonizing the Turks. They were brutal and Oppressive overlords who were religousy intolerant. Don't believe me? Just ask the Armenians whom they massacred in their Millions.
@@tristan8905 There is a scene in the movie where a British politician straight up explains the plan to betray the Arabs and carve up the middle east for the British and French. If anything the film is anti-, rather than pro-British. It's actually about the foolishness and arrogance of the White Saviour trying to direct the course of another people and country he has no business interfering with. The creator of this video really seems to have missed that point.

From what I see the Arab world needs all the help they can get.. it’s sad the our world cannot seem to get along with each other. Hopefully one day that’ll happen.
The Prophet ﷺ also prophesied that carnal pursuits would not only infect his nation but would be the cause of their downfall and devastation. Thawbān (rA) reports that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The nations will soon invite one another to devour you, just as diners are invited to a dish.” It was said, “Will it be because of our small number on that day?” He said, “No, rather you will be many on that day, but you will be [weightless] foam, like the foam on the river. And Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and will cast weakness into your hearts.” Someone said, “O Messenger of Allah, what will this weakness be?” He said, “The love of this world, and the hatred of death.”[58] Reinforcing this point, Anas (rA) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Once my nation considers five things permissible, then destruction will befall them: when cursing one another appears, wine is drunk, silk is worn [by men], musical instruments are played, and men suffice themselves with men and women suffice themselves with women.”[59] Certainly, Muslims today are not insulated from the ideologies demanding the acceptance of same-sex acts in the world around them. This is even imaginable for a practicing, mosque-goer Muslim, if they allow their religiosity to be reduced to a cultural identity, as the Prophet ﷺ said in a hadith narrated by ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr (rA), “An age will surely come when people gather and pray in the mosques, while there is not a single believer amongst them.”

I love history and historical accuracy but I feel like people miss the point of a “performance” in movies. Lawrence of Arabia was never intended to be a biography of Lawrence.
The narrative of this video is obviously deeply skewed, ie. West bad, imperialism evil blar blar blar. A different time with different views, and the video fails to mention that Lawrence knew he was fighting on a lie (Sykes/Picot) halfway through the campaign (not when it started) - and that’s an important point, but had to continue. To understand Lawrence (at least in part) you have to read Seven Pillars, the film is pure Hollywood (and still a good one at that), has this guy bothered to do that? Of course not. Fact, he still achieved a great deal.
Did you read his book 7 Pillars of Wisdom if you had you would understand he was a suberperd Officer, he didn't treat the Arabs as second rate people's and he very upset with both the British and French. They had their adgenders
The narrative of the arabs being primitive is completely consistent with how the victorian British viewed every aboriginal people on the planet, so in that sense the story is pretty accurate and it’s not gard to see why the Arabs would take offence. There were internal rivalries amongst the Arabs going back centuries, that had to be overcome to unite them to beat the turks. Also, the British high command used Lawrence to manipulate the arab revolt to for its own ends, i.e. to get the region’s resources (oil) for Britain deprive the Ottoman empire and the Arab leaders used him to improve their bargaining position when it became time to negotiate their independence. So while the Arabs don’t like how they are portrayed and the chronology is played with, from a big picture standpoint it does present the English perspective overall. It shows that this whole theatre was about manipulation, who was playing whom, and how it is never quite clear - Alanby is himself shocked at the end when he finds out that Faisal has been playing him. And it also demonstrates what a flawed individual Lawrence was. So I think from a big picture standpoint the story being told captures a certain truth about those events.
This video is a waste of time as it is primarily Turkish propaganda to essentially rewrite history, Its critique is focused on the film rather then on Lawrence himself, and finally its bastardization of the British presence in Arabia and the middle east as a whole.
The purpose of Islamic education seems to be the elimination of critical thinking in their students. That's why Islam has the death penalty for apostasy. It could not sustain itself in the marketplace of ideas, otherwise.
I'm confused. The movie depicted Lawrence as a heroe becoming an anti hero. Someone falling more deeply into madness. Like, that's the main point of the movie. 🤔 But thanks for the history fact check.
Yeah. The creator of this video seemed to miss the point that the movie is actually anti-British. The whole point of the film was the foolishness and arrogance of the White Saviour thinking he could change the history of another people and country.
@@harrysecombegroupie True that. Even as a Muslim, I can see how the creator of the video doesn't get the point of the whole movie. I even wondered if they have watched the movie themselves. Lawrence was not a hero nor he was intended to be depicted as one. It's true that it has some inaccuracies here and there, but the point of the movie is about the humanity of Lawrence and how he descended from somewhat a decent guy into a person who did horrible actions. And we can actually see the cracks of his conflicted psyche when he made those decisions.
Yes, but there is another point in him getting crazy. The movie seems to credit the "barbaric" people he had in company, tribes, etc .. his coming to the dark side. Am I the only one who saw that? Isn't this racist? But I agree, it pretend also to be a soft critic of colonial hipocrisy.
Highly false depiction of Lawrence in this 7min. We know it was a movie, although not Hollywood style, and there was a lot of inaccuracies in it . Lawrence was a hero in any meaning of the word, although we do understand the Arabs may have a different opinion. Having spent time in Jordan and talking to many locals up and down the country some think of him highly and others don't. Lawrence was a very complex man, best to read books about him to get a basis of who he was.

Your views on the film are pretty simpleton. You entirely ignore the fact the film demonized Lawrence greatly to the point Lawrence fans were offended. Lawrence is never shown in a good light in the film and he's not a typical white saviour character. He's a deeply flawed human being. Sherif Ali was the character who had honour and humanity in him. Absolutely,I totally agree with you and now we are living without khilafat and I want to tell you a story when Pakistan was not created,a molana was in a prison of British and there were some British soldiers who were court martialed.Molana met them and asked a question that why are you afraid of khilafat which is very weak now?.That officer replied it is true that the khilafat is very weak but khalifa of this khilafat is so powerful if he will give just one hint to the Muslims than the whole Muslim nation will come out for jihad and it is necessary for Britain to invade khilafat

Except that last part.

Excellent work Ahmed
The Prophet ﷺ also prophesied that carnal pursuits would not only infect his nation but would be the cause of their downfall and devastation. Thawbān (rA) reports that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The nations will soon invite one another to devour you, just as diners are invited to a dish.” It was said, “Will it be because of our small number on that day?” He said, “No, rather you will be many on that day, but you will be [weightless] foam, like the foam on the river. And Allah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and will cast weakness into your hearts.” Someone said, “O Messenger of Allah, what will this weakness be?” He said, “The love of this world, and the hatred of death.”[58]
Reinforcing this point, Anas (rA) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Once my nation considers five things permissible, then destruction will befall them: when cursing one another appears, wine is drunk, silk is worn [by men], musical instruments are played, and men suffice themselves with men and women suffice themselves with women.”[59] Certainly, Muslims today are not insulated from the ideologies demanding the acceptance of same-sex acts in the world around them.

He was the real betrayal of Muslim Ummah who worked against Ottoman empire
Who told him to save Arabs ?
This is how they entered into every land and destroyed it in the name of saving and now they are "saving" the world
The narrative of the arabs being primitive is completely consistent with how the victorian British viewed every aboriginal people on the planet, so in that sense the story is pretty accurate and it’s not gard to see why the Arabs would take offence.
I think they portrayed the Arabs well in the actual movie, as honorable and noble. They certainly didn't portray them as savages.

But thanks for the history fact check.
