1000 hours in and I always ignored recommendations. This convinced me and it keeps recommending great signings. All the sufering I could have saved myself.
One thing that's rarely mentioned. You can let the player's contract run out and vast majority of players won't leave on their own for months, even years. That way you can keep maybe a few backups on very low wages around to cover some games here or there.
If I may add, in LLM setup a good set piece system especially corners. I usually get a DC with high jumping reach and put him as cover duty. He is my main target for heading corners and indirect free kicks. Putting him as cover also toughten my defence, as he sweep every ball into the penalty area especially croses. Getting a players that have good setpiece taking ability also greatly help. My LLM team ? Blyth Spartans all the way hehehe. All the best, cheers Sir :)
I've done LL saves since FM12 and the youth challenge (on the FM forums) since FM16, I actually did a save last year where I allowed myself to sign U21 players and it just becomes to easy for me now. So I am back to the youth challenge, it's the only way I play now. The thing with LLM and youth is that you need to play them in the first team, don't be afraid to do it. They will develop rather quickly and their potential seems to have an effect on performances so they play above what their numbers would suggest. If you want a great easy mode club to try, then I would suggest Belenenses in the lowest league of Portugal, they have amazing facilities and a decent team to start with, Portugal is also a fun league to play.
I always found pace very important at lower levels. Lots of defenders physical attributes are in decline. Even the crappiest wingers can do some much damage pulling defenders all over the place if they are fast. Being ruthless with the player turnover is key as well. No room for favorites if you want rapid promotions. Can you please do the opposite of this video i.e winning the champion league. Can win cups, league titles and euro cups all day and night but no joy at the very top end. Always annoyed how I see in the comments people saying they winning the champion league all the time
for the champions league, you should make a VERY SLIGHT tweak or two to make your tactic a little more secure defensively and less aggressive, as for some reason it’s easier to capitulate. and get players who like big games
Great video. I started off with my beloved Notts county and have gone up in 3 out 4 seasons. The churn of players is amazing. Now I'm in the championship. What do you consider key attributes at this level in each position. I started last season off superbly but was overperforming and I got found out. I think I was too aggressive lol with a 4231. To put it into context my wage bill is just 160k a year lol
My biggest issue with ll saves are the end of season(preseason) when contracts are expiring left and right and its quite overwhelming and I often end up starting preseason with less than a full squad Is there any way I can fix this?
Bro it's the English 6th tier for a reason! 99% of the players you sign down there are going to play worse if you over complicate the tactic side of the game.
I've used CFs, False 9s, BPDs in the lower tier, ultimately everything is relative. Its an area of the game I hope SI address, making it so that a player with 7 first touch ALWAYs has trouble with a long pass to his feet.

Doesn't it lock the wage amount?

Do you go to the games in real life? Notts will always be up there as one of my favorites saves
@@pbh81 yes I'm a season ticket holder.
I think Football Manager has become too easy. Way too easy. Everywhere I see users getting promotions, one after another, too easily.

You prepare the next season already in the current season. I do so. I don't wait until the last moment to sign new players.
