Oh man I really want one of this... I have a Minox 35 which is quite similar design and I love it, the folding mechanism is so elegant. Despite the size, it still produce outstanding images with fully manual control of focus and apeture. The down side is that Minox is a zone focus not a viewfinder. The Contax T is just a perfect version of that!
I have a chrome one and a mint black one, and I always enjoy using them, although it’s rare these days with the convenience of digital, but they’re beautifully made and the lens is stunning. From memory they were designed in conjunction with Porsche , and they decided that using a man made ruby as the shutter release was a good idea, although I can never see what the benefit of that is. Great photos
The Contax T came into light in 1984. Your friends sample already does look something beaten up, from the edges. It's design is a bit based (front door) from the Minox 35 GL (79) which was the 1st of these kind of design series (front door, pull out lens design), albeit bei the german brand Minox, and no lomo LC-A, seriously. Whileas that LC-A is also from 84, it's lens is clearly inferrior compared to this nice Sonnar 38/2.8 :-) It's a rangefinder, just like the earlier Olympus XA (79), but if being set to F8, everything into the green line becames into focus, hence sharp, so one could use it as a point & shoot, simply.
Did you get a chance to pick up any 'FilmNeverDie' stock when you were in Tokyo? It's been my favorite Asian film find. It's quite warm but also has lighter pastel colors similar to Portra when shot at +2/3 or +1 stop, the grain is also quite nice.
Eduardo, since you are shooting all this vintage cameras on film, your videos are timeless, I enjoy watching them all the time. I had a chance to buy original Contax T, but I didn't... photos look really neat 👍
Ok this is a first....I couldn't wait to finish, before commenting. I'm 4.50 in and have to say two strong points......Wow, you're street photography is ballsy af! I wish I had the confidence to do this, but I'm awkward. Seeing the speed that you had to react, in order to capture some of those shots, actually leaves me speechless when I saw the results! I'm not sure whether to applaud you, or the camera! 😂 For the framing, you.....for some of that tact sharp beauty.....well, gotta be the camera and totally unexpected! Impressive! Now I'll continue....😁
man i had all the time a smile on ma face while i was watching the whole video. thats a big thing you know. also this film seems to has impressive reproduction of colors. Bravo!
Great episode Edo... I really enjoy it... maybe you can try to do an episode you and your friends trying to shoot the same subjects to see all three different points of view.
The funny thing is those films are actually super cheap at around 4 -5 bucks per 36 shot roll and they’re 義務用 lol meaning they’re meant for industrial throwaway shots like for companies to take photos of commercial items for inventory if I’m correct. Not exactly considered to be the most suggested film for street or portraits but man he kills it😂 such amazing shots
I just got one for 10 bucks !!! But the battery cover won’t come out 😭 Just my luck but hopefully I can fix it and try it out ! Ugh this video is such a tease rn lmaooo but love it !
Your friends look like they are from a different era.
Chris is from 80s and Trevor’s from the 70s straight up
To go with the technology no?
I've had my eye on this camera on eBay so was so pumped to see you testing it. Film makes everything look like a dreamy memory!
"may I crouch and take a picture of you filling your lungs with tobacco smoke?"-Eduardo
"why yes"- everyone in NYC
4:39 wonderful
Such a good photo!
is that for a cancer study? xdd
This shoot was smokin! Okay going away now.
this was one of the most enjoyable episodes to watch! how to do you focus the Contax T?
Really appreciate all the wholesome moments in this video, great job!
This background music is just too good
Amazing video and photos as always! Just one question, how do you focus so fast with rangefinders? Do you always zone focus?
Looks like a fancy Minox 35 GT with a rangefinder, is there any connection between the two?

Xi WU buy an external rangefinder for your Minox I did.
Your videos are getting better and better. Doesn't hurt to be in NYC, hanging with the NYCSPC crew!
Awesome shots... the colors of this film look really good too!
I got one of these Contax T a month ago, amazing camera, often looked over - wonderful shots!
How is your contax t doing? I'm interested in purchasing and upgrading from an olympus Xa2

Very vibrant colours and so sharp
It is a shame that film has been discontinued because it was one of my favourites while I was in Asia
@3:23 It's so interesting how a millisecond of recognition of you captured on film transforms the feeling of the moment. Lovely work.
This is so enjoyable to watch , i love these videos where a camera follows you shooting it thanks for doing this!
Just enjoy this so much, it makes me smile again and again. Thank you!
I absolutely love this film. Just wish it where more available here in Brasil

Isn't that just some rebranded fuji c200?
I hope you eventually make a zine of all the smokers.
fuck you've become so good man each shot really bangs and you seem so comfortable in any situation that's honestly really impressing

I’m wondering if some of these will be a smokers on streets of NYC series. Great video as always.
You are one of the best street photographers I have seen
Excelente trabajo. Gracias.

Loved the video! Great seeing Trevor again and also Chris!
I really enjoyed this video! Your pictures are so compelling, a snapshot into life, well done!
Geat video!!! The scenes of you at the protest, looks like a one shot long take out of a movie! cheers!
Great job you did there !! Loved the photos and your ninja style .
man, that film is really good
your thought on the camera after shooting with it?
8:30 is too good mate!
All photos are great, I think you're really honing in on this style of shooting. Somewhat reminds me of the work of Joel Meyerowitz.
Fuji Industrial 400 was discontinued last year😢 the images reminded me of the 90’s for some reason!
FramesPerSecond I really liked the color grade of the film. Sad to hear that it’s gone
As you went into that crowd of protesters I thought of those super easy, chill shoots in the UK haha. Quite a change of pace
MY LORD. the quality.
Some great shots on that roll, quite smoking you might say!
Really love the color and tone
Great video as always. Love the photos!
The crosswalk old man with the cash in hand is money, pun intended. I would buy that print.
That picture is gold !!!
very good technique at 2.39. Pretending to take a photo of something else and never making eye contact!

I can see your experience shooting protests kicking in here. Good video as always.
So good lol and humorous photos... you catch the most unexpected moments... that's street photography.
Ahhhh the street vibe is real in New York!
I didn't actually know that camera had a rangefinder! Damn, I want one now :-)
Pretty much all your shots are keepers! Nice work. I lave that film, unsurprisingly it reminds me of fujicolour pro 400.
Great episode Edo... I really enjoy it... maybe you can try to do an episode you and your friends trying to shoot the same subjects to see all three different points of view.
Love the look, I have a roll sitting in my fridge for a special occasion.
a quick shooting and review video with a lubitel 2 camera would be a great help!
That lens is awesome.
my god the shot from 4:40.... fucking amazing work. you're gonna make me buy one of these
Beautiful photos! Looks like a fun little camera, would love to see that rolled into a future review.
wow, I just got home from shooting and now this video wants to make me go back out.
Oh i liked the end result, the colours are so 70's!
Just snagged one off of ebay! Super pumped to shoot around town :)
Always look forward to your videos man
Great video. You got some very nice shots in this one.
This was a bit up in smoke, if I may say so... but how did you like the camera? Quick camera, rangefinder useful?
OMG...these cameras have been in my mind recently!!!! :D
Ahola photo was a CLASSIC.
3:00 I’ve had this happen before while out shooting
at 4:02 That darn AF missed the spot!! Loved the video. How did you like the T? I have the T2 and G1.
enjoyed watching you guys shoot!
I was going to develop my own film, but all the photos came out upside down... I don't know what I am doing wrong!
This episode featuring cigarettes!
the Urban smokers series
man that shot at 4:39 is soooo good
I really like how fast did you asking somebody to be shot.

Great video! Who needs a Leica!
Would have loved to hear your thoughts on the camera, since I'm interested in one :-)
Really like those "smoking" photos.
5:41 WOWOWOW! Great pictures! Really man!
3:33 Ed's expression like he escaped inevitable death once more
HI, what is the background music used? thank you!
Amazing as usual 👌🏽
Which settings did you had the camera at?
what does it look like now
dang dude these are great and I wanna see that money pic that dude got too ! , I love the bokeh in your shots
Dude you're so fast with the focusing and movement. I smile each time you miss a shot only because it makes you human. lol.
amazing pictures.
So freaking good man!
NYC Smokers zine???
I'm loving the music!!
