I just love those Mamiya Press lenses. The 75mm F5.6 is probably the sharpest and highest resolving lens I've ever tried on film. Stop it down to F8 on a 6x9 negative with a low ISO film, the micro contrast is second to none! The Press cameras one the other hand, are a bit of a pain to use without a tripod :-)
The future of film photography lies in 3D printing! I just listened to his interview on Negative Positives and am so happy he is trailblazing in this unknown territory!
Parece un proyecto prometedor, pero lo que me parece más interesante es que siendo un prototipo de una cámara que jamás habías usado y que requiere de una operación tan específica tomarás imágenes tan impresionantes, eso habla mucho del gran talento y práctica que tienes.
@@edpavez really?? That's great to hear 😂 it's such a cheap film. I've only shot at once and it was with a flash. I'll definitely have to buy some more
Heey so cool video! It is interesting the way composition works in that format even with the crop heads got something special, personally liked the one of the suit guy.
Maybe some of your captures are a bit miscomposed, but it gives them a cinematic look, where the subject is sometimes more interesting in the background. I usually seek such scenes when I use my Agfa Clack with 35mm film. It’s cool to watch cameradactyl going through the roof at the moment.
Hai eduardo, im your fans, i love to see what you do, im from indonesia, i hope you visit my country in the future and i hope we can shoot analog together haha
Depends. My Horizon 202 broke after 11 rolls 🤷♀️ Rewind is not functioning anymore, so I have to rewind in a dark bag. Sigh. Soviet cameras are such heartbreak.
I can definitely see the potential in this. It's good to see people still making film cameras.
*flim
There is one big problem though. No new lenses.
I come for the photos and stay for the musical score!
I swear this guy could do street photography with an 8x10 camera
Eduardo, your compositions worked beautifully for me despite your issues with the viewfinder. Best wishes to everybody for a safe and happy Christmas.
Glad to finally see a new video
I liked how people reacted to this new “FLIM” camera
I missed your videos, thank you for keeping uploading. Nice shoot.
Thank you. I was EXTREMELY busy with the PhD. I'm almost done for the semester. :)

I love people interested to the camera, definitely a conversation starter. Love the images 💕
Really interesting. Love the photos and the music. Could watch your channel all day long
Que gran foto la del bebé y su madre con el móvil en su boca. Al gran estilo de los grandes fotógrafos neoyorquinos

flim* lol
Your shots were really good! Astonishing how you manage to shoot so rapidly but still not get blurry images! Wow!
Good start and I think it can benefit from some good quality hard plastic for the shell and metal parts for the film rewinding mechanism
Merry Christms Eduardo and Fran, and all your followers
with the music it was so fun to watch the video and it was super relaxing. After the video I noticed that I had a smile on my face. great pictures.
I happen to have a Mamiya Press lens lying around and I own a 3D printer 😀 just need to get some opaque filament and I’ll be printing this baby!
Cool camera and concept. Why is it the size of a plaubel makina since it's 35mm? Good to have an alternative to xpan
God that cable release shutter looks satisfying to pump, really nice shots despite the finder issues Ed! Music is lovely as always.
Great camera but I easly could be smaller. Can't wait for the final product!
Interesting camera, and seeing people in NY with shorts... Wow I know it was a very hot day... Love your work
Great pictures! I think the framing was perfeckt! And as usual - lovely music! 😊👍🏻
The camera is amazing and the photos were fun. I'm excited for his Kickstarter.
Your photos and videos are a treasure in this space
Great video man! Interesting camera and exciting we are still making them

Well this was fun. I really like that background song, Eduardo
Wow, great to see somebody can make a camera like that, i like the wide shots, grtz from the netherlands
I'm curious what film you used for the shoot. I really liked the contrast that it had
It was a Kentmere 100!
@@edpavez really?? That's great to hear 😂 it's such a cheap film.

Mamiya Press lens prices will explode the nexts months. Unfortunately it is pretty hard to even get one here in Europe at the moment. :(
Missing the warm weather in nyc! Good to see you again.

this is when you guys 1 day 1 roll. awesome

Eduardo for the planet! ♻️
Xpan is a dream camera thanks for the video
these are really good photos

Where do you source your music, Eduardo?
It’s a cool project. It could user the touch of an industrial designer though to make it really take off :)
Some dope images lad!
Good x pan alternate is the Horizon 202 . Or Widelux . But for under 200 on eBay get a Horizon 202
Depends. My Horizon 202 broke after 11 rolls 🤷♀️ Rewind is not functioning anymore, so I have to rewind in a dark bag. Sigh. Soviet cameras are such heartbreak.
Hi!
Nice video! Strange but cool camera ,pretty good images!
I actually like the fact the images are slightly off. It gives them a really cool feel.
Dig the copy of "The House That Jack Built" on your shelf!
So good 🙏📸
Joliette!
Adrián André was about to comment on his shirt! Best band
Awesome band. "Luz Debora" is an amazing record. They gave me this shirt on the tour we did together, with Tenemos Explosivos.
Xpan is a unique camera because of its glass, it is superbly sharp and crisp for 135 format
Parallax big time !
the whacky composition is kinda cool

Some nice images. Kinda like the cropped head/faces.
Very cool, but I would totally buckle under the operation pressure of it hahaha
Good results! Cumbersome to use though.Good definition. . I like it.
Sorry about the framing - cutting off the top of the frame…😖
Good stuff as always 👍
definate potential right there
this video has me missing summer
Por favor intenta poner subtítulos en español, Muchas gracias.
I think, you must improve the view finder position,, lot of object out of the frame
wow, that is indeed a great solution with reasonable price
Nice pics))
looks like a camera from "The Flintstones"
the advance gives me anxiety haha but cool overall
the girl on the 2nd photo is so pretty
Nice!!!
that joliette t shirt
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Oops, I found my mamiya press on my shelf.....
4th!

Looks 3D printed
What's that sizzling voice at beginning of the video. Sooo annoying. Just me or did anyone else hear it?
How does it feel to be a clown?
Haha, wtf!?
Speaking of clowns. How does it feel to be an epstein this year?
