If you're looking to really hunt, forget the laser and go with a basic reticle scope, $30 at Wal-Mart. Instead, attach a fishing reel and get some omega 3s for free.
That said, kids shouldn't touch a crossbow unless carefully supervised.

When I pull mine back it doesn't lock once fully extended. Anyone know what the solution is?

Look to see if the (I believe it's called a sear) piece that holds the string back when cocked, is in the up position. The sear is in the top of the trigger box and comes down to catch the string on this crossbow instead of coming up from the bottom. If you don't see it then, it is in the up position and it should be able to be cocked. But, If you do see it, then the sear is down and the trigger box will have to be cycled by putting it in fire position and cycling it. (Pulling the trigger). You'll hear it click when it cycles and then you should be able to cock it then. This may not be the problem with yours but if it is then this is how to fix it. I had this experience with mine and this is what I did to fix it. Hope this helps ya.

Watched the whole review. In the beginning there was much emphasis on "kids" maybe this is an expensive kids toy. The bow press is a unique concept, but I think shows the lack of real power. Any speed readings during shooting?
