I think my favorite part when you do these team building videos is the first 10ish minutes where you select the 6 mons and briefly talk about them. I often struggle with selecting those last 1-2 mons to really get going with team building, so I find so much value in hearing sound reasoning from an experienced player with regarding exactly why they choose those 6.
@@THATSAplusONE thank you so much for entertaining my questions so fast really helps a noob out wish i could avail of your 1 on 1 team building too bad im from the phillipines
Team Building for VGC has always proven difficult for me. I just can't seem to process the information the same way that people like you can. Maybe I just need practice. These guides are very helpful for that purpose.
I’d also really like to see this team in action! Being able to follow a teambuilding process from start to finish would be incredibly helpful when trying to play more
These videos are always super cool, I've been on and off since x/y and jumping back in and trying to learn to be competitive is always rough. Appreciate you sharing your intelligence and experience.
@@THATSAplusONE yeah team building is very tough i only play masters as getting stuff for the lower leagues seems even harder 2 out of my 3 pokemon perform well but my shaymin seems rubbish haha
Loved this video! I have to admit i was so intrigued that i built this team out to give it a shot - found my challenge was against lando with intimidate making it hard for even Chien-pao to consistently take him off the board, and the team overall was very weak to intimidate. I threw a competitive Empoleon with a somewhat unique set in replacement of Chien-Pao to diversify and add some SpA while checking the intimidate from lando specifically and allowing me to deal back 2x SpA water/ice moves. Once I made that change this team feels amazing and has done quite well for me, well done sir!
I very much enjoy the team building guides! I often struggle with finding ways for my team to compliment each other. I sort of put Pokemon together that can work on their own and hope for the best. Probably why I've been stuck in great ball tier for every regulation 😕
I would love to see pen and paper team building, but without any prep. I want the long raw thoughts and how you actually choose the mons. Might not be the best video, but I would find et interesting. Btw, woyld love to see you use this team
There arent any real long drawn out thoughts. Im usually pretty quick to hop to the mons I like. Its usually more about adding moves I think are good to a list then adding the mons with the speed tiers that get them
If you want a spatk boost when you Howl you could add a Throat Spray which could also be activated by a Snarl from Ninetales as a 2nd throat spray proc move
great video! especiallt for someone who got only recent into competitive pokemon battling and team building! next would be awesome to see this team in action on ladder :D
Thanks so much for going in depth with your team building. I was always told to make my teams over on Showdown but I wasn’t aware that Marriland gives you what types that you’re weak against, that’s neat. It would be cool if you did make a video using this team but for a future video, (or if you could recommend one) could you do one on predictions?
Ill try and use this team soon. As for predictions thats not really a thing. Its just following thru on correct usage stats. Take good notes and follow the lead patterns
Any new mons work with charizard I know is not viable but that’s just how I like making it to rank. Had my specific charizard since 04 Fire Red. I collect ribbons on it too alongside other mons but this Charizard I have was my first Pokémon ever.
As someone who used Glimmora for a lot of reg d, people stacking rock weaknesses is super common it's just a result of rock being such a good offensive type.
I was always curious how people build their teams. That first team I would have added empoleon instead of rillaboom(he just added more of the same weaknesses for a fake out) then make the final 6th able to use fake out
My partner also team builds on pen and paper! She just finds it easier to make decisions and plan things out. I’d be interested to see how other people do it too
Hey man, great content as always! RE: Ogerpon speed: you said you wanted it to underspeed Ninetales for Howl, but you EV’d it to 168 instead of 166. Is it more important to speed creep Pokémon that try to outspeed Urshifu than to underspeed the Ninetales? Also I’d love to see a more in-depth flow charting video in the future!
I have a question about the team. Why a physical ninetails instead of special? I assume howl is mostly for ninetales teammates but I feel like with the lack of special attackers on the team, ninetails would do really well with a special fire move instead? Was just curious
I was curious about... like.. how would you know what tier is a certain mon-comp are? for example if I lead like competitive milotic and a roaring moon with TW. what would it be? Even if I built my own team, I have less idea what lead options go in which tier-group. Is it just experience that you get to know all the lead option's tier for your team?
T_T i really want to get more into online battles. but its SO grueling getting Tera shards honestly its the only big hurdle. i dont really care TOOO much for 0 ivs - i do have 1 trickroom team that took forever to get, but 0 atk never is a GIGA required thing for me. farming money is SUPER easy so caps, and vitamins thats super easy along with patches. But man Tera shards are the bane of my existance. Does The dlc have any other methods of getting shards outside of just spamming raids? thank!
@@THATSAplusONE Thank you for replying to me that means a lot ya know. Pokémon has been my religion since 1995 and I hate that my decent iQ doesn’t reflect my competence on Pokémon PvP. mold breaker makes moves that are TARGETING the opponent to ignore the opponents abilities so it doesn't stop unseen fist. neutralizing gas does stop it tho.

Finally a guide that explains an actual guide instead of just saying "This team is based for this specific move" and reasonings with it ❤❤

That’s easily the best team building video I’ve seen. Thank you for your explanations. I’m going to watch many more of your videos!

If you complete the dex you get an item that gives you a ton more shards per raid
