- Welcome to Bryan on Brass! In this video we will listen to three different types of Baritone/Euphoniums to use in marching band and decide which is the best type to use. Each instrument has it's pros and cons for marching band and each instrument has different elements of tone quality and suitability.
Definitely love the sound of the marching Euphonium. Smooth as butter. Deep as the sea.
It really does change the character and sound of an ensemble.
you seriously don’t know how long i have been searching for this video😭
I've always wondered as well why this isn't discussed more.
Great video! I'm surprised this isn't a bigger channel
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Makes me wonder if bcu would sound better on marching euphoniums
I personally don't think it fits. The Bellfronts allowed us to blend with Trombones as needed, really push out some volume when needed but also allowed us to have such a delicate and nuanced sound when it came to concert selections. I think some of that lightness goes away with the Marching Euphonium.
@@bryanonbrass6833yeah the Euphonium being the most open and conical, Tbones being the most cylindrical. Baritone horns are right in between providing so much versatility
Where did you get your hands on a King K30 Euph?
I'm a band director. The King Marching Euphonium is on the school's inventory.
