This is a complete finishing system using buffs and compounds designed specifically to give wood a fast but spectacular finish. Sand the work through 220 or 320 grit, then apply a coat of penetrating oil finish and let dry. Buff the work with the a linen buff using the Tripoli Bar to remove sanding scratches, then polish with the Linen/Flannel Buff and the White Diamond Bar. The final polish is using the all Flannel Buff and Carnauba Wax. The finish will appear very close to a multi coat lacquer finish. Important- When facing shaft end of your motor, it should rotate counter clockwise for the Wood Buffing System to work properly. Some motors (but not all) are reversible.
Complete kit includes one each of the following:
    9" Tripoli Wheel
    Tripoli Bar
    9" White Diamond Wheel
    White Diamond Bar
    8" Wax Wheel
    Carnauba Wax Bar
Quick change adapter that allows you to change buffs without removing the adapter from the motor shaft adjusts to fit 1/2" or 5/8" diameter motor arbors.

OK- maybe a stupid question, but I have the buffing system with a Morse taper. How do I keep the MT2 from coming out while buffing??? it stays in for a second and then rattles loose and comes out.

Not a stupid question at all! In our experience, almost every time that this happens it is the result of an issue with your lathe's morse taper. It might be dirty or have a burr - something is preventing the buffing wheel from seating properly. The easiest solution is to ream your morse taper with something like this: www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/90/3651/tapermate-Morse-Taper-Cleaner
If you need any help or want to talk it over with someone, please call our technical staff at 1-800-551-8876. And good luck!
