Have you tried applying it with your fingertips? I’ve not had the lifting problem - but I don’t use a brush. Also - using a damp beauty blender may mess with it too. It’s oil-based and the blender is damp with water. Give it a whirl! It lasted me a whole day in the sun (85F!) without issue. I LOVE this foundation, it’s honestly a holy grail for me. Dry to normal skin, I’m 36, have some mild redness and am fairly fair skinned. It dries down for me after a while. I just give my skin care 10 minutes or so to sink in before using it. Then I apply with fingertips, gently sort of swiping it in and then I pat it gently, still with my fingertips. It took a few attempts to figure it out!

Thank you for your review Tara! Honestly, this is the reason why I will never get into the clean beauty phase. I have oily skin and I work long hours and I just need my foundation to last. Also, since these products generally don't have preservatives they tend to go bad much faster than a regular makeup products.

I am 50 with normal to dry skin and I recently purchased this in shade medium (perfect match for me). I think it works best with a light application and no powder, but prefer to use on days when I’m home as I live in a humid climate. I love the way it makes my skin look but it’s definitely not for everyone. Also very messy. May be better in a pump. Thank you for sharing!

I’m 57, normal/combo skin - oily T-zone and I LOVE WTFoundation! I’ve never had to stir mine, but it came during winter, so that might be why. I do powder my forehead and nose, and while it never dries down completely, the trade-off is that I never end up with flaky spots like I sometimes get with powder foundations and don’t even get me started on matte or medium-to-full coverage anything! This is my holy grail, because it’s my skin, but evened out. I also love the face sticks and the best eyeshadows. Lastly, the mascara is my go-to.

Medium honey is the perfect shade for you. idk if I would like my hair potentially sticking to it. But, i’m intrigued and it looks good on you. it looks very healthy and natural as you described.

I am 52 . I have dry skin. Live in south Florida. I love this foundation. I do get good wear all day. I do powder it. It works best when melted into skin with fingers not a brush. Really do think it is for dry skin.
Love the thoroughness of your reviews. I bought this in Porcelain. I'm mid-40s, dry-ish on the outer face and normal/combo through the middle. I don't like a lot of coverage, but find this gives me 0. A little glow and I love the smell (save as BB Vitamin Face Base), but really zero coverage. I'm super fair and I've heard people say the Porcelain runs dark, but I think there is so little coverage, it's pretty flexible. I still like it for the way it feels on my skin and since I'm not after coverage, the pigment performance (or lack thereof), doesn't deter me. Would not call this a foundation, though. I think they just wanted to be provocative with the 'WTF' and so they had to call it Foundation, even though it is more like a tinted moisturizer

Thank you so much for this honest review. It was on my wishlist of things to get, I'm currently on a no buy, but I received a gift certificate for Mother's Day and was thinking about getting it, but I don't think I'm going to now. I have pretty large pores, and normal to dry skin, so I don't think this one is for me. I also live in Ontario Canada, and it gets very hot and humid here this time of year.❤❤

Hi Tara, I have combo/dry skin and received WTF in shade Beige. My skin absolutely loves this tinted balm, I’m not into foundation so I was really happy to try WTF. I do give it a quick mix with the JR spatula, but I mean quick!! It applies so easily and I think that’s what I love most about it, plus my skin loves the hydration and it doesn’t go into fine lines. Maybe a pump dispenser would work better 🤔 but overall I’m really enjoying it. 💖

I am 57 with dry sensitive skin (with basically no blemishes or age spots, just wrinkles). I need to wear a primer under the WTF (I like the Vapour one) because otherwise my face itches from it (I think due to the essential oils in it). I think this looks super-pretty on my skin and am inclined to wear it for that reason, but I see it much more as a good foundation for the winter months when I am not sweating and need extra moisture. If I sweat at all, it's just gone, on the other hand. It doesn't provide any appreciable amount of coverage at all (I use the JR sticks under my eyes), but the finish of my skin is gorgeous with this foundation on and so it is appealing for that reason. Thank you, Tara! I was hoping this would be better. I think I got lost at “essential oils”. As much as I love EOs, they do not like my skin!! Even sitting in the same room as a diffuser, I will get bad skin reactions. I don’t even want to try this. I’ve (literally) been burned too many times by EOs on my skin. Thanks again!!! Thank you so much for your review! I really wanted to try this for those no makeup/run around for errands days but I have SO many foundations, tinted moisturizers I don't think I'll get it for now. I do think it will serve a purpose for those with dry skin like you said. I might try it when I use some of mine up towards fall/winter maybe.....it might last better on the skin in colder months too? I do really want to try the face pencils too. Thanks again!
Honestly - I wouldn’t buy it if you already have products you like for these type of days. Yes it works for the ‘no makeup’ days but is it the best product I’ve ever used - no. In hindsight after try for exact same reason I regret the purchase since I have so many other ones. If it was the only product I had, I’d probably like it well enough. Foundation Sticks are the bomb - but need something moisturising or slick underneath to move over the skin so they don’t tug, particularly under the eyes.

The first ingredient in the Tom Ford is water. Water and oil don't mix. So, silicone and water primers probably won't work. Thanks for reviewing clean beauty. Your skin is your biggest organ. I can deal with the quirks. Of course, I'm a senior. This foundation is not for everyone, as you said in your review.
Oh gosh, the oil in the jar and don’t like to have essential oils in my makeup or skincare!
I’ll pass on this one, I can’t stand shiny and sticky foundations on my oily skin, don’t need any help in the shine department 😂
The product should have not passed cosmetic stability testing. The oil separation is an indication of this.
I really like the IDEA of this foundation as I’m loving these more gel/cream foundations but I’ve realized I cannot pull off the luminous/glowy finish. I don’t look healthy….I look like a butter biscuit!!!!
I think I am sending mine back... just not worth the money for me? I'm just sort of underwhelmed. (I have dry skin) I think I could get the same result just mixing some moisturizer in with my No.7 liquid drops - even Neutrogena Healthy Skin is a better choice for me - barely any coverage but just evens out my skin and gives it a glow. Ty for the review! So I have been on a journey with you for a little over a year! I decided since I am older now 51 that i needed to step up my makeup game. I have tried and bought the foundations over the past year that you reccomended. I LOVE Valentino foundation and now I am in awe of KVD balm foundation! Nothing can beat these 2 foundations! KVD balm foundation is unreal! Valentino so good too! Anyway, Jones road is a pass for me, but look forward to every review i do!!!! I Trust you and i So appreciate all u do for us!!!!

@@ChrissieSM my skin can be dry and at times will go from ok to extremely dry by days end. I LOVE the Valentino foundation for the application and formulation but have struggled to get an ideal shade match. Have ultimately purchased 4 different shades and none and have spot on. The fact that I order four different shades definitely speaks to my love for the product.
Too expensive of a product to have so much maintenance to go along with it. I have combination skin and I could see my skin getting oily with that.

Tara, thanks for doing this review - I bought this foundation and have been struggling with it in similar ways. Your tip on mixing it up before applying is a godsend, that’s definitely helped but you are right, it doesn’t last, no matter what I do (tried all the same things as you, powder, TF primer, etc). It’s become my “working from home” foundation where I know I won’t be doing a lot, don’t need a lot of coverage or will be out in the elements. This way I keep my more expensive medium coverage foundations like TF S&I for when I’m out and about. I’m in Australia so we are heading into winter so I also agree I think it will also work better for me over the next few months too.

I live in Tucson Arizona and it is extremely dry here so I wonder and I have dry skin and I'm a little older I'm in my mid thirties so I wonder if this would work for me
I got the foundation today and wearing it for the first time. It's wayyyy to greasy based upon the first application (i have combo skin). I did powdered my entire face but even 5 hours in, it still feels heavy. It looks great on my skin though, doesn't emphasize any lines at all because of how moisturizing it is...but as a foundation, it is too moisturizing thus feels heavy on the skin. I'm going to try to apply less next time and see if it feels better. So far, I prefer the Iris&Romeo Best Skin Days foundation, which is also clean and in a similar packaging but dries all the way down to feeling like nothing but still keeps your face moisturized.
I watched another beauty youtuber who massaged it in, yes literally and seemed to work so much better!

Love your reviews and I’m super close in skin tone!😍 I may be crazy but I love this product but I’m 54 and I use it last in my routine I use skincare, then Charlotte tilburys beautiful skin tint, concealer etc, then I dot this on top and blend in. My shin soaks it up! I look dewy my skin looks plump and amazing I also dust/ top with Charlotte tilbury flawless finish powder! I love full coverage and this works for me! ❤️

I did buy it and massage it in as another beauty youtuber did and only use on certain areas. I'm older than Tara and used to be combo but heading to dry now, so I enjoy using it when I'm looking and feeling like a prune 😊

A "clean" formula basically means removing perfectly safe ingredients and preservatives at random, leaving you with an unstable product.
Bobbi is a legend but I hope this "clean" trend ends soon.

Shouldn't everyone have a choice? There are a gazillion products that aren't "clean" and they go into the environment as people wash them off. It's not as if all the other products are going to disappear. They won't. #70serawoman
I bought it and I hate it, never wear it. I’ve tried to make it work about 4/5 times but every time was really bad. I’m already oily so it’s awful on me. Sometimes I might use one of the balms to hilight on no makeup days but that’s it.

i bought it and tried really hard to make it work. i have very dry skin and i looked like a greasy mess. it's not enough coverage, and greasy. it emphasizes everything. i asked to return it and they gave me my $$ back without asking for the shipment back. i really wanted to love it. i am curious if anyone likes it

It looked really beautiful when you first applied it, but it wore so badly): I could literally see what you meant when you said the makeup gets picked up whenever you apply pressure/touch your face. Wear time is the most important part of a foundation.

Hum, it really seems like the idea behind this foundation is good but the actual product misses the boat. Wonder how this would work as a primer for someone with dry skin. But then again , that is what moisturizers are for last time I checked.

I saw on Tik tok that because this is a water based foundation and not a silicone based foundation your primer has to be water based as well! That might make a big difference!
I think you could clearly see it's an oil-based foundation. I wouldn't go to Tik tok for real/true information.

I don’t like foundation coming out of a jar and I don’t want sturring the foundation from the jar plus I don’t want shiny skin, I don’t want to look like oily so I wll pass this foundation.

Seriously this is one to consider.
I think this foundashion shall be perfect on the coldest winter days when you go outside and envy your dog for his flufy muzzle and want all the grease of the world all over your face. At least, it's how I feel in winter.

This foundation is troublesome. Because you have to insert something to mix it up. You need to make sure whatever you use is clean and disinfected because I'm assuming this foundation doesn't have preservatives so not only is it going to go bad a lot sooner, but you might be introducing bacteria into it as well. Although some people have claimed to like it, I believe most people purchased this just to test it out and will never reach for it again. It's too messy and problematic.
I don't think I could force myself to put something on my face that looks this gross.
