Three arias from Antonín Dvořák´s fairytale opera Rusalka turned in to a movie, sung by Gabriela Beňačková (Rusalka) and Ondrej Malachovský (Waterman).

I think this is the best Rusalka I´ve ever seen (the singing of Gabriela Beňačková). Very tender, soft and elegant singing close to perfection with no unpleasant vibrato.

Beňačková has the definitive Rusalka, many current singers try to 'interpret'. Hers is pure, musically correct, authentic. I had the pleasure of hearing her as Margarite in Mefistofeles in SF in 1989. She was magnificent !.
