Engh. THe comic book versions are never quite so focused or pure as the animated versions. They are just different characters. Raven is much more bland in the comics.
Damian is that boyfriend who respects and gives space when needed. He actually waits for her to confirm that she was ok and then leads the kiss. He doesn't like to force her ( He knows what happened to Raven's mom so he's extra careful) and that's what's amazing about him. It's almost like he's afraid he'd hurt her. Remember when he touched her hand instead of going for a kiss after their confession? That itself says alot.
Warner's animated production house has an incredible opportunity in their hands with these two characters. They both have a masterful chemistry that can still, at least a little more, be put to good use. Actually, I hope that in the next timeline, if they have in mind, they will create a new universe of animated films. I want them to give Damien Wayne the opportunity to act in his own film, but alone, with Raven. Of course, that can include the option of adding some other characters' cameos. I, as I watched all the films, realized that Damien, as a character with many variables, still has a lot of possibilities that can be explored. To be Batman's companion it was masterful to see him develop from his first appearance. But it would be interesting to see him, as he can develop further on his own in the dark world of crime, as a new night watchman; a new anti-hero, just like DeadPool or The Punisher. What can he have the choice of following his father's precepts or throwing them away, independently, having his own enemies and his own adventures, with Raven. Damien Wayne, still has some experiences to prove himself to all of us. If the producers of the Warner House make the decision to recreate a new timeline; since it follows the example of their competition "Marvel" that would be a great option to start. It's time for them to stop (at least for a while) letting icons like Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman rest and show us new horizons, otherwise Marvel will end up eating them.

I've never known of their relationship until now, honestly don't think it ever crossed my mind, even watching Teen Titans as a child, but seeing it, this just makes so much sense.
It's a different Robin in this universe. Dick is still with Starfire but has already become Nightwing by the time Raven joins the team. This Robin is Damian Wayne.
I mean… not really. I can see why you would say that with these two, because Damien is a dark character and Raven is a dark character. But Dick Grayson, the Titans Robin, is not a dark character. Because of, among other things, the influence of the Titans, he never developed Bruce’s rage. He actually has fun as a Super Hero and can have romantic relationships that are borederline healthy.
Late reply but the teen titans robin is dick greyson aka the original robin (batman basically adopted/raised him). Dick greyson grew up and became nightwing. Somewhere along the line batman accidentally had a kid aka damien aka one of the next robins. The cartoon network teen titans didn't follow the dc comics accurately and since that's what we grew up it gets confusing if you're not a huge fan of dc stuff. In the dc animated movie universe (the most recent dc animated movies where you can watch on hbo max) dick greyson is already nightwing and older and also starfire is older. The teen titans include damien aka robin and raven and a few other of the younger aged heroes. Nightwing and starfire act as mentors for the teen titans while nightwing simultaneously helps batman when needed. Since I'm replying so late I'll also mention that at this point in time James Gunn did a reboot with the franchise so moving forward both the cinematic movies and animated movies will be following the same continuity/universe with very select exclusions. Hope this helps! There's many different dc universes (parallel timelines). Similar to the multiverse in marvel. So if you ever get into dc superheroes I suggest picking a universe instead of jumping all over (great examples include dcamu on hbo max, or injustice comics, or dceased comics, james gunn's new universe, or that robert paterson batman and its highly probable sequel, or that joker film from a few years ago).

Warner's animated production house has an incredible opportunity in their hands with these two characters. They both have a masterful chemistry that can still, at least a little more, be put to good use. Actually, I hope that in the next timeline, if they have in mind, they will create a new universe of animated films. I want them to give Damien Wayne the opportunity to act in his own film, but alone, with Raven. Of course, that can include the option of adding some other characters' cameos. I, as I watched all the films, realized that Damien, as a character with many variables, still has a lot of possibilities that can be explored. To be Batman's companion it was masterful to see him develop from his first appearance. But it would be interesting to see him, as he can develop further on his own in the dark world of crime, as a new night watchman; a new anti-hero, just like DeadPool or The Punisher. What can he have the choice of following his father's precepts or throwing them away, independently, having his own enemies and his own adventures, with Raven. Damien Wayne, still has some experiences to prove himself to all of us. If the producers of the Warner House make the decision to recreate a new timeline; since it follows the example of their competition "Marvel" that would be a great option to start. It's time for them to stop (at least for a while) letting icons like Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman rest and show us new horizons, otherwise Marvel will end up eating them.
@bob jones And why not? Could be it. No previously less well-known hero achieved high notoriety in the comics, until he made it to the movies. Look at the Avengers, before they were not as popular as Justice League and now look at them

I've never known of their relationship until now, honestly don't think it ever crossed my mind, even watching Teen Titans as a child, but seeing it, this just makes so much sense.
It's a different Robin in this universe. Dick is still with Starfire but has already become Nightwing by the time Raven joins the team. This Robin is Damian Wayne.
I mean… not really. I can see why you would say that with these two, because Damien is a dark character and Raven is a dark character. But Dick Grayson, the Titans Robin, is not a dark character. Because of, among other things, the influence of the Titans, he never developed Bruce’s rage. He actually has fun as a Super Hero and can have romantic relationships that are borederline healthy.
Late reply but the teen titans robin is dick greyson aka the original robin (batman basically adopted/raised him). Dick greyson grew up and became nightwing. Somewhere along the line batman accidentally had a kid aka damien aka one of the next robins.
The cartoon network teen titans didn't follow the dc comics accurately and since that's what we grew up it gets confusing if you're not a huge fan of dc stuff.
In the dc animated movie universe (the most recent dc animated movies where you can watch on hbo max) dick greyson is already nightwing and older and also starfire is older. The teen titans include damien aka robin and raven and a few other of the younger aged heroes. Nightwing and starfire act as mentors for the teen titans while nightwing simultaneously helps batman when needed.
Since I'm replying so late I'll also mention that at this point in time James Gunn did a reboot with the franchise so moving forward both the cinematic movies and animated movies will be following the same continuity/universe with very select exclusions.

There's many different dc universes (parallel timelines). Similar to the multiverse in marvel. So if you ever get into dc superheroes I suggest picking a universe instead of jumping all over (great examples include dcamu on hbo max, or injustice comics, or dceased comics, james gunn's new universe, or that robert paterson batman and its highly probable sequel, or that joker film from a few years ago).
Green Clark, cheekbone raven, and actually tolerable Damian are the best parts of this movie
