@isurukddd You are partially right, it is a solo by Anima Ji, and there is no Kalyani Ji. The started singing for Kamal Dasgupta only from the next year or 1944, I think.
Dear Vidur itz not Jamuna. Jamuna Barua never sang. voice was Miss Anima Sengupta with kalyani. kalyani gave voice to the other actress. She is Miss Devbala. She was a famous supporting actress in many of New Theatres films like Vidyapathi 1937. even though Kanan bala was the heroineand she did many famous songs for this movie this song was sung by Anima Sengupta plus she gave voice to Mrs Barua. The other song was Loot raha. .... Both in Bengali and Hindi versions she gave voice to Mrs Barua
Can someone tell me about actress Veena. She was in Humayun and sang song, "Aaj Aaj Mere Bhaiya Ne bandhi hai rakhadi..mai to odhugi gulabi chunariya". This was a choice song. Can you please load it, Mr. Zain?
There was a singer called Chaya Devi who was credited for some of the songs on Jamuna. I am not sure about this duet . Please Zainuddin saab ! You must know ! Only you can help ! Who are these two singers ?
