Ima start posting beginner motorcycle tips as if you were a newb. (just to annoy you)
Remember to give it a little throttle before releasing the clutch. You don't have to worry about riding the clutch on a motorcycle like you do in a car as motorcycle clutches spin around in oil.
Always remember to fully close the throttle, click the gear up, release the clutch, then reopen the throttle.
Oh the rear break is your friend at low speeds and especially when starting on a hill. You can use the aforementioned tip in conjunction with this to keep from rolling backwards. Just give it about 5-10% throttle and slowly release the clutch while releasing the rear break.

Welcome to the world of Liter Bikes! When I got my ZX10R I was blown away by the increased power compared to my previous bike, a ZX7R. Negotiating traffic at high speeds is pure joy with that power. I am in Texas and lane splitting is illegal.
I hope you retained the 7R. They're such gorgeous machines n so analog. Would absolutely love to own one some day. I'm from India n I think there's just two in the country n both belong to hardcore bikers n they'll never let go of em. We can't import them in either. 😔
@@rahulsudhir666 Yes I sold the ZX7R when I was in college. Then a decade later, I woke up one day, like Drew eluded to, and said to myself I better get another sport bike before I get too old. My friends got in to Harleys, but I had to get the ZX10R. It is fun to upgrade them and do mods for performance. That sucks you cannot import them in to India. Maybe someday that will change. They never homologated the 600s n the other supersports for our market until recently but the unfortunate part is that only Kawi brought the 6R in around 2019 n they cost almost 85% of a 10R. Import duty here is 110% on bikes n about 160% on cars n it doesn't look like that'll ever change. I ride a Triumph Tiger 800 though cos it's more daily rideable for our city road conditions. Was close to picking up a 10R but the 1000s heat up way too much in our 1st gear traffic conditions n I'd probably die of testicular cancer or some shite. 🤣

My friend paid for a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ what y'all would've paid for a Bugatti Veyron in the states. Folks in the Philippines n Vietnam have it worse. I heard it's almost 270% or somethin there! Met 2 American boys who were touring the world on a BMW GSA n a Husqvarna Nuda a few years ago. Introduced them to my group. We were discussing stuff over a few beers n they couldn't believe how much the GS owners in our group spent on them. They had their minds absolutely blown after they saw some of the car collections here. 🤣

Don't worry about leaning off the bike too much. As long as you're doing the turn correctly, body position will come naturally.

But other than that I’m very glad to see bike content on the channel again, I always hoped that type of content would make a comeback! I would also recommend taking that bike to track days and motorcycle racing courses to get track experience, since that experience actually translates well on everyday roads. It can can improve your understanding of your own bike as well as drastically improve your skills even higher than it currently is.
So stoked for the content to come with this!

The Austin Racing pipes r perfect for this gen of R1s for street riding. Graves if you really want a monster. Just make sure to disconnect the battery when she's not being ridden. A few batches had an issue where the batteries would die on you if you leave it unridden for over two weeks.

So excited to see the bike content. I think the chinmount is a good idea. Although I really like the 3rd person Insta360. I’d also recommend getting a phone mount it’s very helpful. Also check if your transmission recall was addressed cuz that was a major thing for the 2015 model year for the R1s

Good luck with the new bike Drew. I think a naked bike is definitely the way to go for longevity and comfortability, a 1000cc can be very annoying riding around town and doing normal things but that’s the pay off for being able to be a fast Boii. Pray you stay safe and practice good riding bc shit can go wrong FAST AF compared to a car.
