2000 happy km on my Wave RIOT. I started on Cloudwheels at first, but when im destroyed them, i came back to standard. And i never look back. 1/3 longer range, less traction, more fun. Clouds are bigger and faster but more hungry. It's awesome e-board, is my second one, but so far the most favourite.
Very relaxing informative presentation. The visuals, lighting and staging are excellent. Well done! The hub motors are quieter but the thin hub rear tires are louder over bumps and rougher road. The hub tires developed some cracks and side chipping/ chunking pretty early on but seem to have stabilized. My battery went bad (it is the 1st gen which had issues), and after going through the back and forth with Exway customer service which was pleasant, they stopped responding. After 2 weeks of this I contacted EBC electric boarding company-who I ordered the hub wave from and they advocated for me and Exway sent me a new 2nd gen battery in 2 weeks. This board's portability takes me places I otherwise wouldn't have gone. Transitioning between downtown streets and sidewalks while weaving through pedestrians and cyclists/drivers is a breeze.
⚡🤙🏼 *Nice to see you back, with a mini* 🤙🏼⚡ Electric shortboards are insanely fun, super practical for times where you don't / can't take up too much space at your destination, or you gotta pick up and carry the board a few times. Good little board the Wave, even though it came out a little while ago. Ultimate travel board with a removable battery design done well - not an easy task. I'm hopin they release a new mini end of the year or early next year though. The Exway app might possibly have an ABS style function you can turn on. I definately prefer Hobbywing ESC to Ly-FOC too. You should consider checkin out a cruiser style one, Meepo Flow or Tynee Stinger, like mid-size with kicktail and double kingpin, I'm really enjoyin my Meepo Flow, especially with Venom bushings on. I almost went with the paragon, but decided to try a backfire v because a rattling battery in a certain review would really bother me... wondering if this one is better?
I've personally never experienced rattling on this board. I'd be fairly concerned if that were to happen though. The locks on this board are really solid, so I believe it would be possible because of its design. It's pinched from both ends and then stuck again with another really solid metal insert at the front.
Does anyone else have trouble with the exway app? My android literally pops up a notification saying that the app is bugged. Crashes everytime i try to connect my board.
I personally prefer the Hub motors but its really down to preference, the nice thing about this board tho is that you can swap them out if it doesnt suit you. so its a good option to consider as a first board to get an idea for what your looking for.
Nobody wants a belt driven skateboard. To many wheel choices available. Hub is the best because you can feel the bumps in the road and are very limited to wheel sleeves.😊
It's honestly annoying watching reviewers give biased opinions on electric shortboards when they cant even ride a regular skateboard and chose hub motors. Of course its weird to ride a shortboard when youve been riding longboards your whole life that take virtually no skill to ride 😂
