Oh hey something that I can understand without a problem, though there are some things that feels off to me
狗喜欢吃鸡 the dog likes eating chicken, I would specify it was the meat, as if their owner has been feeding the dog chicken 狗喜欢吃鸡肉
跑得快 from what I've seen and heard, Chinese usually add something before the adjective to emphasize it 跑得很快

Thanks for the feedback. In the story, I did intend to say the dog like to eat chicken, like the animal. That’s why the dog was chasing after the chicken later on. As for 跑得快, you are right that it is pretty common to hear 跑得很快，however 跑得快 would be acceptable too. It would be not acceptable to get rid of the 很 if you are using the adjective as a predict as in 我 很好。
