So warming to hear Mandich doing commentary. I truly miss that dude.
Im from buffalo and I went down to Miami with my late father to see my hero dan marino. I was 10 years old. remember it as if it were yesterday.
Loved to hear #88 do the commentary.RIP MR.MANDICH!
I didn't. I thought he was mad annoying. "ALRIGHT MIAMI". "ALRIGHT". "ALRIGHT".
This was the Golden era of football for me loved it
Yeah, for you. Us older guys got used to consistent East titles
Thanks for the wonderful memories coach Don Shula I was young man back in 1995 iam 60y now with coach you can expect anything to happen spectacular with Dan the man Marino on the field it felt like the 1972,73 dolphins 🐬again.
As Shula said, his most frustrating and disappointing season. There has never been a team with this many 1st round picks. Started the season off like gangbusters and I have no idea what happened during halftime in the first game against the colts, but we had a totally different team after that point
R.i.p shula😢🐬🙏💝
Wait he died…? DAMMIT
@@YarmanZJ yeah don passed away right about the time they announced the Dolphins organization having its 50th season
I wish we could have won the SB for the greatest Prolific passer of quick release to ever play ball on Sunday
I always liked Terry Kirby and Bernie Parmalee....don't forget Bryan Cox and Marco Coleman..
Thanks for posting. Takes me back to my mid school day's when I became a Dolfan... OJ was my favorite.. besides Danny boy of course
OJ was a serious ballet. Great routes and hands. A very dependable guy to move the chains.
Miss Mandich and Zimpfer so much.
I knowwwwwww! The guys who do the games now just don’t have “it” like these two.
I love Jason Taylor and Jimmy Cefelo is ok but, Joe Rose drives me nuts sometimes.
Mandich and Rick Weaver was the best
Week before loss to Indy was the beginning of the end for Shula.... that team was such a HUGE disappointment all year long.
They should of been 12-4. Comeback loss to Indy combined with Marino injury was a killer! They then lost at New Orleans and a crappy NY Jets in close games they should of won with Bernie Kosar at QB. 1995 was a totally bungled season.
Unfortunately, Kosar was terrible at this point of his career. I cringed whenever he had to come into the game. The very next season started the Jimmy Johnson purge and make over, JJ assembled an excellent D, but gave Marino very little cto work with. Only keeping OJ Mcduffle.
The ‘95 Dolphins had 18 1st round picks on the roster! What a letdown season
The end of an era
That is correct. The stadium's name is Joe Robie stadium. Not anything else.
The Bills didn't have Marv Levy cause he was recovering heart surgery and they didn't have Thurman and Andre Reed in this game and they pressured Jim Kelly offense all day. Dick Enberg Paul McGuire and Phil Simms on the commentary side on NBC at 4pm. Marino and Irving Fryar had harsh words early on, cause Marino was struggling a bit coming back from injury of missing 2 games.
Even though Buffalo was a juggernaut of a team and LEGENDARILY made it to FOUR STRAIGHT SBs, in the 90s Miami owned the AFC east. Other than Dan, Kelly is the only QB I feel bad for that didn't win one.
Sorry, but Miami didn't own the AFC East in the 90's. As you said, Buffalo went to four straight SB's in the 90's and knocked Miami out of the playoffs three times, including the AFC Championship IN Miami.
don't see how you can say Miami owned the AFCE lol. Miami was a very good team, but unfortunately Buffalo was a great team. They had a running game that was consistent, I think that was the biggest difference.
I was a Dolphins fan but no, the Bills owned the AFC East in the 90's. Four straight SB's and knocked Miami out of the playoffs after the '90, '92 and '95 seasons.
Miami owned the East in the 70s and 80s, not the 90s
Buffalo just got a few lucky bounce in the 90s to put them in all those SBs while Marino always got the unlucky bounce or always had the awful defense
Bryce Paup is a name old school Dolphins fans won't forget..I don't remember any Buffalo players complaining about the heat that game or any game in Miami the past 40 years either.. ironic 🤔
Wow a pre Thomas and Taylor defense that played well- for one game at least.
No Thurman Thomas. He always killed the Dolphins.
@@filthyswit he was referring to Zach Thomas idiot.
You might want to do some IN DEPTH research on this era defense; "for once", this roster STAYED in the top 10 in run and pass. Seriously asking, do you people now a days not know how to MAKE SURE you know what you're talking about BEFORE speaking?
You might want to put your thinking cap on before replying next time. Do two people having the same last name confuse you that badly? I was saying that Thurman Thomas always killed the Dolphins. He didn't play in this game, hence why they had a good defensive day against the Bills. And no, Miami didn't own the AFC East in the 90s. Have another look.
You should have said: "and no Thurman Thomas"... Bills owned the 90's but to no avail. Great AFC Champions they were.
I remember all the talk of former first round picks on this team. They didn't help. Shula's last year I think.
1:20 Paup would go on to have a great year with 17.5 Sacks 3 Forced Fumbles and 2 INTs
6-3 after this game. I thought the ship had been righted and the Fins would cruise to a 13-3 record. How wrong I was.
We all were.
Can anyone find 1988 bills at bucs??
