Daniel Reyes Greetings from Hungary. Spain is beautiful and it's wonderful. Spain wanted to send in an army to help Hungary in 1956. Eisenhower and NATO said no. Moreover, Spain took in many Hungarians after the 1956 uprising. For that we are very grateful. The Spanish are aways welcome in Hungary. God bless Spain and it's people.

To anyone over 50, extreme displays of patriotism are scary. One thinks of the fascist regimes in the 1930's and 40's of course. But Norway gets a pass. They have a lot to be proud of. They have created a country where the average person is supported and that's rare in the world. They have said NO to global neoliberalism...a beautiful thing. So it's hats off to beautiful Norway. This year I celebrated 17th of May in Germany.
The Norwegians brought flags to the university, had lunch, then I threw a celebration in the next evening. Oh yes, I was called a nationalist. But I believe I softened people up a bit. National pride is not for skinheads. Europe has to understand this.
I also motivated the swedes to celebrate their national day here as well. Which I consider the greatest achievement. And I will help them in making the day awesome.

@@stianberg5645 We should give the Swedes a "17th of May celebration" as a gift. On the Swedish national day we should bus over tons of Norwegian kids, give them Swedish flags and teach them Swedish sheers, songs and chants. They can teach the Swedish kids. Once the kids there find out that they can have as many ice-creams, sodas and hot-dogs(For forigners: this is the rule in NO) their parents will never hear the end of it. In 1983, Sagene school in Oslo received threats from neo Nazis, because they had so many kids with Pakistani descent. They decided to cancel participating in the 17.May celebration, in fear of attacks. This caused an outrage, and they were encouraged to participate after all. Norwegian war-veterans walked with them, defending their right to take part in this most culturally unique phenomen we have in Norway. Never let Nazis define what our national day should be like.

How nice to see, we don't appear to have anything like this in England. Irish and Scots do, Welsh low key, England seems non existent.

My beautiful neighbour country - I'm so proud to be half norwegian, and i've been fortunate to experience 17th of may in Norway myself - the atmosphere there was incredible :)
Sadly we don't have a similar nationalday here in Denmark - the closest we get are 5th of june where we got our constitution or 5th of may where we were liberated from Germany by the allies - But it's in no way something we celebrate like the norwegians, and most Danes wouldn't even be able to point out the dates :(

FANTASTIC PETER. You are right - it was inspiring. So many fine, clean-cut normal people in a time of declining social conditions in the West.

I don't know why this turned up in my recommendations, but it was fun. I live here and saw a lot of people I know.
Didn't spot my own bald, bearded head, but still a lot of fun.

When I lived in Norway back in 2013 for 6 months. There were huge anti EU bill boards on the highways.
I still recall my Norway independence day from then (location Tynset). It was fantastic.

28:11 You just captured season nine of ALT For Norge (All for Norway) a TV series where Americans with Norwegian decents go to Norway and compete to meet their long lost Norwegian relatives. So fitting 🇳🇴😁
Watch the cameras, and they all are reading from their notes while trying to sing our national anthem 😁
