3:45 Tesla does not use LIDAR for their vision/self-driving capabilities. Older cars had Radar and Ultrasonic sensors for Autopilot and Park Assist, but all cars now have had them disabled and *only* use the cameras. They have a very advanced system that *ONLY* uses cameras to create a projected version of the world around the car (like a video game world) that it then uses to understand what is around it. GPS is a satellite technology that many things use to determine your location in the world like google maps.

Not even close on the amount of 18650’s in the Plaid. It’s not 100,000 but only 7920. Also the specs on the Plaid have ALWAYS been 1020 hp and 1050 tq.

There are not 100,000 18650 cells in that car. There is not even that much equivalent power. This car has 100 kWh of capacity, and a typical 18650 has about 10 Wh. Therefore, the battery on this car has the capacity equivalent of about 10,000 18650 cells.

His comment that he got lucky and that his Tesla retained it's value is a crackup because he's completely wrong. He would have paid base $130K in 2021 which means is value is whatever the regular depreciation would have been plus an additional $40K since the base price is now $90K. It's lost at least 50% of it's value in 2 years. Also, most of what he quoted is just wrong. The prices they were, the prices they are, the top speed(which is 200 mph with the track pack, not 218 mph).

Yea bro, I saw an article and they have been depreciating at an historic rate. The model s plaid was 140k new last year and now it's 85k new. In one fukn year. That's insanity. Makes u wonder the actual cost of making it. Everyone knows they use cheap stuff but it must really be true all around the car. If they can afford to sell it new at 85k then it cost them alot less to make. The car had no business being over 100k to begin with.

I guess it is 89k. Even then they are making a profit at that price point nonetheless so what's the actual cost of the car to make with what's inside it? 50k? Seems like it. I mean they don't even have a HUD, high grade materials, carbon fiber bucket seats, alkintiare sport steering wheel, buttons that feel good to press so u don't have to scroll for everything,etc.. tesla gives u a bulky steering wheel and a single iPad, and seats that aren't considered luxury or luxury bucket racing seats. It doesn't feel like ur in a fast car or a luxury car it's just blah
@@user-my4xu4gf1z The base price already includes everything except the 21" wheels. I chose the 19" wheels on my plaid because they are faster, tires last longer, quieter, more comfortable, and handle better in corners. The only other thing you can throw your money away on are software upgrades to enable EAP or FSD. Even upgraded paint colors which used to cost are now included for free.
And to my response to your comment, you literally lied and overstated the price it used to be even if you added everything and now are saying it's only $85K which is understating it to make it look like a larger price drop than it is.
