Downtown Seattle's Top Seafood Brunch Buffet Experience. Goldfinch Tavern @ The Four Seasons

- After visiting a spectacular buffet in Seattle (voted #1) called Salty's, a viewer recommended a place call The Goldfinch Tavern at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. What an amazing recommendation! It certainly delivered in spades. This location is very convenient right in downtown Seattle and near the Pike Place Market!
An incredible brunch experience with bottomless Mimosas, a fresh quality seafood buffet, and entrees on the a la carte menu are all included! The cost during my visit was $49 and I considered that to be amazing value!
It was also my friend Lois' birthday and they were more than accommodating -- offering yet more sweets in a form of a special dessert plate. Definitely worth a visit!

Happy Birthday Lois! I'm sure you had a great time, all the food looked wonderful.... thank you Tim.
Hey Denise! thanks again for reaching out! Passed this on to Lois and she says thank you! :-)
Happy Birthday Lois
Have super day.
What a way to spend a birthday! Tim, lemon pancakes, Hermosa, seafood, what more could you ask for?!
Happy Belated Birthday, Lois!
💃🏾💗💝🍦🎂🍪🍮🍽🎇🎈🎀🎁Wishing you MANY, MANY more to come!😃
Awesome job Tim. I love watching your videos.
Thanks again Holly!
What a beautiful experience. Thank you always for sharing
Thank you Barbara! I hope they're still offering this. Would not mind another visit there 😋
Love your videos. This is really awesome. Cheers, Tim!
Thanks again Dwayne :-)
Good commentary! The food looked outstanding and I'm sure the birthday girl was pleased as well!
Thanks pfriderfan, much appreciated and it was certainly a very enjoyable brunch -- would certainly recommend
I'm really happy that i found your channel.
Great videos. Best wishes for all your upcoming reviews.
Thanks Abhinav -- thank you for taking the time to reach out and greatly appreciated :-)
Yes this buffet looks way better
Thanks Mimi -- it's very different. My friend Lois like this very much as it's smaller with everything really well done (seafood was very fresh and de-shelled etc) and not as overwhelming as Salty's. I, on the other hand, like to be overwhelmed with choices like Salty's :-)
Are you going to have a chance to go explore the one in sac
The place looks lovely! You look so relaxed and comfortable talking in front of a camera! You always radiate positive aura - i just love watching your videos.
Thank you again JJ! Grin, not relaxed at all, just sleepy as it was quite early in the morning during the brunch :-) Much appreciated and thank you :-)
It's not still 7:00 AM here and your video makes me hungry ! Great review as usual Tim ! Thx for sharing !
Thanks Magali! Much appreciate you comment again :-) Ahh, hope you had a great breakfast :-)
Watching you visit the Las Vegas buffets and comparing them to Salty's and Goldfinch Tavern. The 2 Seattle buffets, blew Las Vegas away. The quality of the food, its presentation and the service you were given was top notch. When I used to visit Las Vegas, I always felt the buffets were overpriced and fell short on quality. I will definitely try to visit Seattle, and visit these to fine establishments. I really like your channel Tim, Thanks.
Hi LatinSoul007, thank you so much for taking the time to reach out. I do like the buffets in Seattle; though still somewhat pricey, they're very good. Hope you get to try them soon. Thank you again!
Looks so inviting...the atmosphere seems to be so mellow. Mille is a sweethearr. The food💓💓
Hey Valerie, this was quite as an enjoyable place. Everything was very refined and as Lois mentioned, it's not overwhelming and the quality was there. Hope you get a chance to try it soon 🙂
Just wonderful and exciting food and location and fantastic staff.
Hey Maria -- it was quite a nice experience -- thanks to a viewer that recommended it
Hi Tim! What an interesting and very entertaining meal and of course your awesome video too. If I was a restaurateur and you came into my establishment I certainly would be happy! The staff sure appeared to like you and your friend and I can see why. Thanks as always for sharing your dining experiences with us. Mike in "snowy" Roy, Utah 😊
Hi Mike! I can imagine the winter cold must be hitting Utah hard! We were hit hard here (Vancouver Canada) too. it was a mild winter until a few days ago. About 12 - 14 degrees Fahrenheit and snowing as well. Always appreciate the friendliness of the people at the restaurants. Thanks again Mike! Stay warm!
I also love watching your videos thanks so much for introducing us to all the different places you get to enjoy!!! Bon appetit! did my post show?
Hi Donalee! Thank you for taking the time to reach out! Much appreciate your comments... And as Julia Child would say: "Bon appetit" to you as well :-)
Going to pack it up here in Roy and head to Seattle Tim! Thanks for another fun video ☺😊
Thanks Mike! I hope you get a chance to visit the west coast soon; would love to visit Utah as well.
Hello again !! The lox roll looked amazing 😀 I'm going to have to try this place !! ( happy belated birthday to your friend 🎂)
Hello sonsie, will definitely pass this along to Lois. I didn't realize there were so many places to visit in Seattle -- pretty nice place... Thanks again for taking the time to reach out. Are you from Seattle?
@@TimLeeLetsGo yes I am born and raised ! Currently I live in Bellingham close to the Canadian boarder . I really miss my city in the summer months 😣
@@sonsiehollingsworth5342 Oh, that's so close by :-)
this place looks so lovely and relaxing
Hi again Sparkz! It was a morning though we were in a bit of a haze afterwards with all the food :-)
omg goldfinch tavern is no joke! my wife is from seattle and even her she never knew about this buffet! thanks for showing bro! next time we are in seattle,,we going here!
Hey Vic! Nice. I didn't realize you had some connection to Seattle! Looks like you're covered from west to east :-) It was a very nice place and just next to the Pike Place market :-)
Wonderful lead! Thx Tim❣️
Thank you so much Sherry :-) Mush appreciate you taking the time to reach out :-) All the best
Your videos kill me! What to choose? What should I have now? Everything looks so good and so attractively displayed. The crab seemed scrumptious looking. Wasn't too wowed by the dessert selection though. Thanks for taking us along with you!
Hey Mary! It was certainly a smaller buffet, but all the items were so well done... I'm like you, the crab was so fresh and de-shelled. No fuss :-) The desserts were quite limited though but they were really well done. Thanks you again!
Couldn't click Fast Enough...Love Your Videos!!❤❤❤
Thanks so much again Shantrel :-)
Looks amazing Tim
Great jobb. Its 9:30 pm and you got me starving! Haha
Thanks again Diane! :-)
Amazing!! This is bucket list worthy!
Thanks so much for reaching out! Take care :-)
Tell Lois Happy Birthday. We share the same day. Looks so good.
Hey Sally! Happy birthday to you too! Was it on Sunday? Lois' birthday was actually a few days off, but we had to stick to the schedule of the buffet :-) Again, a very happy birthday to you!
Tim Lee Thank you. yes it was on Sunday.
The place looks very nice next time I'm down in Seattle I'm going to have too check this beautiful place out very nice
Thanks again Ron! Do give it a try next time you're there as it's quite a good deal with the food, drinks, and service. This is one of the places I would return to
Another interesting buffet review. Always enjoy your videos Tim. This buffet looked great. Excellent ambience, a lot of great savoury appetisers and desserts. I rather like the idea of the entree being cooked to order, with steak being a good choice.
As for those disputing use of the word "seafood"; to be fair the Goldfinch doesn't seem to use that word on the website. Rather it uses the words "Weekend Brunch". And to be fair to Tim there was smoked salmon, oysters, crab, and shrimp. All food looked fresh and of great quality.
Thanks Rich, this was a very nice find recommended by "Jess Everyday". They don't have a breakfast station nor carvery station like the traditional buffets, but the entree more than make up for it. Thanks again :-)
Looks delicious. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks again Amy! :-)
yes, millie is delicious
Happy birthday Louis
Passed it along to Lois :-) greatly appreciated...
I just recently discovered you. Really enjoying your content, you are such a nice man!! Keep it up
Hey Lyndsey! Thank yo so much for taking the time to reach out and greatly appreciate it. Just having fun with these videos and really enjoy connecting with the people here. All the best :-)
@@TimLeeLetsGo thank you! You're too kind
And the berries are so profoundly beautiful and big. They look very fresh too.
All that FOOD looked So Delicious it made me Hungry!!! It's 10PM here.
Thanks Jennifer. Much appreciated and all the best to you!
I had to comment before the desserts! This was such an elegant buffet. I chose all that you did. When you had to choose the main entree......my heart stopped! That steak was awesome. The salmon, the crab, the oysters......now I will view your dessert choosings. Thank you 💞
Hey Merrill -- LOL -- it was quite a nice experience and this is one of the few places I would go back to! I like the buffet and entree combination and the folks there were very friendly. Given all that, the price was very reasonable! Thank you for taking the time to connect! :-)
I was hoping he went for the crab cakes.😄😄😄😄
Great value. Great video.
Thanks varment01. It's a very good place for a relaxed brunch -- it's a place I'd go back to again.
all looks so delisious
Hi Claire, thanks -- a really different type of buffet, but very satisfying and great quality!
Beautiful smile Millie !
Delicious food!! Pity thing is when I traveled there, I didn’t know this place.
Tim, you can eat a lot. 😂, and looks you still have a average body. 😃 I eat a lot too. I like to try the different buffet. Thanks your video.
Thanks shibilv! I didn't know this existing as well until a viewer recommended this place -- it was very nice indeed :-)
Thx for the vid. I got to check this out. Good buffets have been hard to find.
Hey Angelo -- Yeah, outside of Vegas or Asia, there's not much. Very grateful for a viewer (Jesse Everyday) to recommend this place. Cheers :-)
Great one Tim!
Thanks again CJ :-)
I will love to try it when I go back visit my family. 👍❤️🤤👏🤗😊
Definitely worth a visit and considering all the seafood and entrees and drinks, it's quite worth the value :-)
49$ ?? for the US, this is not expensive. Awesome! Thx for sharing! :)
Hey again To Leyik, I totally agree. Given the cost of some other places and the great food, drinks, and service you get, this is quite a worthwhile experience. :-)
ahhh food looks so good!!!
Thanks L. Tiangco :-) Mush appreciate you taking the time to reach out again! How are you enjoying our little snow dump?
Thank you for sharing this video to all of us,, thats all food is just only in my dream.. Im like to see u eat,, like im eat too..GBU always Tim..
Thanks again Rena!
@@TimLeeLetsGo youre welcome...
GBU always Tim..
Hey Tim. Thanks for your reply yesterday. I've truly been enjoying your videos today. Not only are they really well done, from a production standpoint, but it's also so much fun to see the places I have been (and need to add to my list). Do you do production professionally? You seem to have a true handle on this, and really at ease in front of and behind the camera. I am primarily vegetarian, but enjoy fish, so I can always find something to please the pallet. And, OMG, was that creme brulee I saw flashing by????
Thanks again and greatly appreciated -- not a professional by any means but thank you for the complement :-) Very novice here and trying to figure out this filming/editing thing as I go along. I'm just using my cell phone and recently got one of those GoPro type cameras (a similar off-brand though). Had a nice tour around the Seattle area and I should have filmed that creme brulee; it was one of the best I've had; they had an orange custard at the bottom that i didn't get to show. Hope you can visit the west coast sometime soon. Would love to get a chance to visit the east / DC area. Take care :-)
You're welcome anytime here :-)
Wowzers!!!
Love you Tim and Lois
Thank you so much and passing this along to Lois.. I think you just made her day 🙂
Watched a few of your vids and subbed. Love your foodie vids. Hoping when you come back to Manila, that we can eat together. :)
Hey Beatriz, thanks for taking the time to reach out! I so love Manila! I can't wait to get back. I had the opportunity to work there many years ago and really enjoyed it and made many friends. Hope to see you soon!
Very Watchable Sir !!! Subbed.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out Mark. Much appreciated 🙂
Server w a BEAUTIFUL smile
LOL -- she (Millie) has been getting quite a few complements :-) And well deserved!
Never did find out what the Red Drink was. A minor point, though. The buffet looked fantastic, and I'll make sure to try it next time I'm around Pike Place Market on a weekend.
Hi Doc Malthus, the red drink still remains a mystery :-D I do hope you get a chance to try as it was a very pleasant experience....all the best to you in the new year :-)
Nice video Tim. Gonna be in Vegas feb 22nd - 24th. Any traveling plans?
That's awesome Tloc103... weren't you also heading the Vietnam shortly thereafter as well? No plans at all -- just crazy busy at work! The videos on the channel are sorta my "escape". Perhaps I'll head over to someplace closer by like San Francisco or just over on the islands near by as a break. Have fun in Vegas!
So jealous...
Baby ketchup on the table 😻😻
Agghh! So nice. Best
Hey Tom, hope you get a chance to try. This was quite a nice value and a very unique experience, especially in Seattle where things tend to be a bit pricey 🙂
👍 awesome
No crab or lobster here? Any good buffets in B.C. with crab and lobster? Thanks
Hey Ron! Lobster... that's the one think I can't find at a buffet here... Will continue searching though :-) I suspect it'll have to be Vegas or places in Asia for that -- at least for now...
I can tell the crab cocktail was your favorite, lol
You know me so well Andy :-)
Bruschetta emotions were also amazing, not just the bruschetta itself.
Millie was a superb server!
Happy Birthday!
@@pfriderfan Thanks - I had an extended celebration period :).
Tim loves his Lobster 🦞 and Shrimp 🍤
Wish your shows would be longer
Thank you so much Bonnie!
I would swap my empty plate for that shrimp plate. That crab shooter tray doesn’t stand a chance either. Tim, I admire your restraint.
LoL, agreed Neil... those crab shooters were amazing!
Si la comida viene de Alaska y es congelada
good personality
Thanks Florida state :-)
Tim, can you choose all the entrees or only one?
Hey drtienyuchang, sadly, it was just one entree per person. Otherwise; I would have gotten the crab cakes too :-)
Good food!I like that taste with y v
Thanks Martha! :-)
Millie was so lovely
Agreed 🙂
Do you have hotel recommendation in Seattle on a budget?
Hey Chaminda, I would recommend the last place I stayed at: Louis Towers :-)
And also look at Airbnb too.
This place looks amazing! Seafood seems so fresh and the steak 🤤🤤. Do you like prefer this place over Salty’s?
Hi Tran. My friend Lois and I were talking about this during the brunch. They are very different! Lois preferred Goldfinch as it is more relaxed, smaller and more refined. Not as overwhelming as Salty's so so many selection. I, on the other hand, like the overwhelming selection and mad rush to try everything. I would be very happy with both -- but Goldfinch is a little more affordable too..
Tim Lee Both are great I’m sure. I prefer an abundance options as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Happy birthday to Lois :). Are you still in Seattle?
@@TranLe-fh2wx I'm in Vancouver Canada, but it's so close to Seattle. I go there to visit from time to time. Lois says thanks :-)
Tim Lee Oh nice Vancouver is awesome! I went there a couple times when I lived in Seattle. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant but really enjoyed the dim sum there. Went there one time when it was Canada day and I had no idea. It turned out to be a lot of fun. Hope you’re staying warm it’s quite cold there now. Enjoy your weekend. Look forward to your next video :)
Hi Lois❤️
How can you take just 1 shrimp and 1 oyster? They are so good and basic!
LoL Thanks William! Really enjoyed the seafood there and so wishing we can all travel soon :-)
wow..those oysters look delicious..can't imagine how they would taste if you put them on the charcoal grill..basing on the 5:07 mark..it looks like you're using the dji osmo pocket ..you're getting a pretty good hang of it...although you could use a third arm Tim...happy birthday to your friend Lois..great video..did you guys just drive down to Seattle for the weekend ?
I remember you video on the grilled giant clams (I forgot that they were called -- Quohogs or something like that) -- I'm still wanting to try that one day and do the scallion oil sauce... Yes, I was using the DJI Osmo Pocket, but how on earth can you tell?!?!. Lois lives in Seattle so I just spent the day there -- it's only about a 90 minute drive if you go fast enough... I'll pass along the birthday wishes.. Thanks again David!
@@TimLeeLetsGo I got it from the reflection off the glass 😆 I don't know how you get from Vancouver to Seattle in 90 minutes Tim ..we did the same route and it took us 3 hours lol ..I got a better idea for you ..if I was in your shoes I would make this video ..you get you a small table side grill at Walmart..make your oil and scallions sauce ..drive to Samish Bay ..and grill up some oysters with a beautiful scenery in the background..Mark Weins posted a video about that place a few months ago and I told myself next time I'm in Seattle I'm going to do that ..oh man so that mean you drive down to Seattle alot then since I see Lois alot 😀
@@DavidSriracha good eyes! I still can't see it! That would be so nice to grill up some shell fish! It's just a little chilly right now at 12 - 14 degrees Fahrenheit 🥶.
And the Heinz tomato ketchup at the tables.
What were you celebrating?
Hi Michael, it was my friend Lois' birthday. Just taking her out for brunch -- my style with the buffet :-)
👍😀
The waitress is soooo gorgeous!
Hey Andy, that was Millie -- very nice server!
@@TimLeeLetsGo You are awesome Tim. Watched a few of your videos last night and ended up subscribing because of it. Thanks for awesome vids !
Hard to call that a "Seafood buffet". There's a couple seafood options, but without some kind of crab legs, I wouldn't consider this a seafood buffet. Still looks great though.
Hey Steve -- yeah, this one was quite different, but I did like the crab cocktail; very fresh and deshelled :-) If you're in the area, I think Salty's is more inline with the seafood buffet -- it's overwhelming in a very good way. Thanks again!
I'll check it out. I live in the area. Thanks. :)
🍃💗PLEASE EDIT!!!🍃
?
That steak is already $49 in east coast
It was a pretty nice steak 🙂
Seafood Brunch Buffet? Where were the seafood besides the ordinary shrimp cocktail that you were crazy about? I was so happy when read your title & thought that I would visit when I'm in town next time. What a disappointing!
Hey Romaya -- this is certainly very different than a standard buffet. I did like those little crab cocktail in the shot glasses as they were really fresh and de-shelled for you. If you're in the area, give Salty's a try -- they do have a great seafood selection and it was overwhelming in a very good way! All the best!
@@TimLeeLetsGo Hi Tim, thanks for your response! I could tell those crab and shrimp cocktails were amazing but there should be more seafood dishes especially when they called "SEAFOOD Brunch Buffet". This was the first time I watched your video because of the title. I'll search your video on the Salty's. If it looks good, I definitely will check it out when I'm in town. Cheers!
I found your Salty's video and about to watch it!
Wow Millie is deliciously gorgeous. Yum 😛
Oh yeah, I'm getting some of that chowder & putting some oysters & shrimp in there & totally destroying the Huge Shrimp & crab on their own as well.....and BTW I brought this up wt Its a Fishermans Life in San Fran = Just once in my life I want to see an actual CRAB CAKE - not some little pattie the size of a cookie - A CAKE thats made out of Crab!! And then I want a slice!! lol
That sounds like a nice challenge in the next potluck at my workplace... hmm... a real crab cake :-)
First 👍🏻
You even beat me Josh! I normally try to take a look to see if it's posed correctly :-)
This place had only a small variety of seafood compare to others place not sure worth the $50 I think. Nice elegant place anyway but just an ordinary Sunday brunch.
Hey whataname01, yeah this is quite different from a traditional style buffet. Check out Salty's -- it's overwhelming (in the best possible way) with offerings in the buffet.
Nice video, but you still have focusing issues which have plagued all your videos, see the cheese and bitter green salad section etc...3:37 and 7:55
Thanks Andrew, appreciate the feedback. I used to use my phone, but have updated to the DJI Osmo pocket recently thinking that may help... I guess I'm can't blame the focusing issues on the camera anymore...it's probably the user 😉. Still paying attention to that and adjusting; once again, the feedback is helpful. Cheers
second
You guys are fast :-)
You should get Millies''s phone number and take her out on a date.
she could do better :-)
Tim, are you able to complete a sentence without using the word "here"?
is that your girlfriend
Grin -- thanks for reaching out nopochki. Lois is my good friend; we used to work together.
You eat like a like a teenage girl watching her weight Tim, i would have ate my body weight in the shrimp and crab cocktail lol.
Hi Scott -- the plates were kinda sparse :-) but had many :-) that crab and shrimp were soooo good :-)
@@TimLeeLetsGo I ended up going back to my favorite Chinese food place and they gave me some of their hot chili oil for free because he knew i liked it so much. I have enough to last me a few late night meals after drinking a ton of beers lol. I had too much last night and was not feeling great was many times to the toilet ha ha. Will i do it again, You better believe i will i love that hot oil
It is no longer a buffet it seems and costs 80 dollar now, talk about inflation in 5 years
Wow what a rip off that's definitely not worth 50 bucks
Not sure which generation you are from, for the amount of high quality food and bottomless mimosa and entree, $50 is a steal.
I would swap my empty plate for that shrimp plate. That crab shooter tray doesn’t stand a chance either. Tim, I admire your restraint.
LoL Niel, it was hard to hold back 🙂. It's rare to have crab that is already deshelled for you 😋
