Good video!
How to build the courage's muscle:
1) Recognize the opportunity - moment of fear, anxiety - that's your moment to strength your muscle of courage
2) Get comfortable with discomfort - you have to keep going even with the discomfort (like, mistakes, feeling silly)
3) Ask what is the best thing that could happen - Instead of asking yourself what's the worst thing that could happen. It changes your perspective!
Lift more weight, more weight
This is the reason why I became a PSYCH-K Facilitator, it is the fastest way I know to reprogram those inner sabotaging thoughts and transform your life.
The most important point of this talk is the validation or significance of the small courageous acts in our life. If our everyday courage is unseen, you will feel unseen in a way which makes your courage disappear.
Let your courage make you more courageous!
You are fabulously courageous!! Thanks for sharing your words of wisdom Cindy!!
courage can be learned and strengthen
its not about being fearless but its about overcoming the fear
no one is born or not born with courage
courage is about small things
I am glad I stumbled on this video. A truly inspirational talk on courage. I've listened to many talks about courage by men and women, and your explanation ranks among the very best of them.
I want you to ask yourself the following question: on a scale of 1 to 10 where do you consider yourself to be? How exited, motivated, grateful do you feel on a day to day basis to live life. Now what would a 10 out of 10 look like? Really think about this. Who would you have to be to live at a 10 out of 10?
Your mind judges and labels everything that in comes into contact with. Although this might seem obvious, many people are not aware of the consequences of this. The more judgemental an individual is the less happy they are. The happiest people are the ones that are the least judgemental, this is a fact. Most of this judging happens on auto pliot and thus we are not aware how we are doing it and the misery that it creates in our lives. Actually, it is possible to become aware of this mechanism and to stop it, although it can take a little bit of work.
Before sharing more about this it is important you understand the value in becoming aware of these mechanisms and letting them go. These patterns ruin your ability to be happy living in the present moment and create lots of other problems. The first step to this is becoming aware of it as they happen, the second step is to make a conscious effort to let them go. The more aware you become the less they interferer and intervene with your ability to achieve your goals and be happy.
I have been noticing how these patterns work and operate in my own life. Judgements about self and other happen, it seems without me doing anything, meaning they operate under my current awareness. They come and go and come and go, often when they are least expected. For the following week I decided to do an exercise. Throughout the day my intention is to notice every time I judge either myself of someone else and to make a note in my journal.
At the end of the day I will reflect. This will be done for the following week. I am curious to see what the results will be. Now my challenge to you, try this for an entire week. Set the intention of becoming aware when you are judging and notice what it does to you. How do you feel when you are judgemental? Do you feel elevated or does it drain your energy? Then become aware of how you feel when you are accepting. What changes? Do you notice any difference in how people relate to you? How clear and focused your mind is? Write it in your journal! Feel free to share the insights you get in this process.
How often do we tell ourselves we really want to make a change just to find ourselves procrastinating? How often have you made a promise to yourself just to find yourself breaking it the next day? Why do we do this? What stops us from doing that which is true to ourselves, from taking action, dreaming big and being who deep down we know we can be?
These questions fascinate me. What I have described above I see happening all around me. People settling, living luke warm lives, every day being similar to the next, nothing new, nothing exiting happening. What facinates me most is this happens by our own choice. Everyday we choose how we show up, weather we take a step forward or stay stuck. I see this happening in so many persons around me but more importantly I see this happening in me. Many years ago I was totally absorbed by mediocrity. I did what people expected me to do and that was about it. After discovering the world of self development there was a realization that I am the one in charge, if I want a better life I must make it happen.
So here we are a few years later. My life has improved greatly but as mentioned above growth and exploring my potential is a continual process. It keeps going and going. The work you see me doing is done for two main reasons. Firstly to keep myself accountable to the standard that I set for myself. I realize that the number one thing for me to focus on is not trying to change anybody else, rather to look inwards and focus on my growth and development. I created this blog and am making videos to share the lessons and insights from my growth journey with the intention of inspiring you to commit to a life of growth and contribution. Secondly, I love helping people overcome their perceives limitations. Not only do I want to share my growth process, but I want to help others create the life and fulfilment they desire. Often this can be difficult to achieve by ourselves, which is why we need help from a mentor. I work as a coach for those people who know they are not living up to their potential and need support in expanding their comfort zone.

Wow
Extraordinary invitation to each one of us.
