Can you tell, how much i can safely unscrew adjusting nut? :)

I usually adjust it so the brake shoes gently touch the brake drum. And i try to adjust both sides to have the same amount of rolling resistance. (in motion on the ground, the side with the most rolling resistance wil usually lock up first)
You want each side to hold as close to the same amount of weight as possible, when you set the parking brake on a hill, for example👍🏻

@@Aleks_Mechanics well, i tried to do all right fixed spring under handbrake, spinned adjuster screw so pads touch disc, but it is not enough and i already unscrewed about 1cm, but it was not enough

@@Valuiskihh with the rear wheels off the ground, is it hard or impossible to rotate the rear wheels with the parking brake lever engaged? And how many clicks does it take for the lever to lock the wheels?

is this video for the E61 touring? i ask because i`ve been told that the cog/adjuster wheel is at the 6 o clock position and yours seems to be at the 3pm position.

This one is more at the 2 o clock position, its the same on most BMW's i think

@@t5jerry yeah, that is the support for the spreader hook wich the e-brake cable pulls on when you engage the lever

I cleaned up most of the hardware pieces using a wire wheel a number of years ago but there comes a time for replacement of that hardware especially if you have salted roads in the winter.
Genuine ATE parts aren't hard to come by, particularly the spreader and the star wheel. The springs and 1/4 turn hold down are easy to find as after market.
      Otherwise a good video.
