Planting a Permaculture Apple Tree Guild

Today I'm planting a permaculture guild around my apple tree. We'll talk about the types of plants to include in a fruit tree guild, and I'll share what plants I've chosen to use for mine.

Planting different varieties of plants under an apple tree
I have my herbs growing under our trees to maximize space and didn’t think it’s called a guild.
Does it only work for apple trees?
I have herbs and flowers around our peach and cherry trees as well

It’s not just for apple trees - I would use this approach with any fruit tree that I plant. I’m sure your herbs are helping your fruit trees even if it wasn’t planned! It definitely maximizes space too.

This was really interesting and so informative. I have never really considered a mix of plants that will not need any intervention. Now I will probably go down a UA-cam rabbit hole about comfy. I’ve heard of it, but don’t really know what it is our all of its uses. I hope your apple tree and all of the plants do well for you.

Comfrey is a great plant - very useful medicinally and for gardening!
