1.: this is a midleading title, since you yourself say it lasts 8-9h now. 2.: using two lion/lipo batteries without a balancer is a bad idea, please correct me if im wrong. 3.: good work! i wish JBL would have just included a larger battery from the start, especially at the price!
It depending on how loud you have the speaker. I can achieve up to 10+ with volume on moderate. As for the battery, when connecting two batteries in parallel, a balancer is generally not required if the batteries have the same voltage and are of the same type, age, and capacity.
nice! i noticed in your previous disassembly video that JBL added a steel weight. in my opinion, they should simply added more battery. I did a similar hack to our cordless vacuum, it just lasts way way longer than the added battery. I think the JBL original old battery will also have longer life than the added battery because less heat during peak usage/power.
Great video. i have a question: Does that work long term? dont they have to be balanced, if one of them wears out wouldnt be the voltage different betwen them?
Well, I have some ideas, based on this video, would it be fine if I swap the battery from JBL Clip 4 to this JBL Go 3? Will it fit? Can you give me your thoughts on this? Thanks.
I switched the battery from my clip 3 to the go3, since it’s bigger capacity. Just soldered the go3 connector onto the bigger battery. Do you know maybe why it lasts the same time?
Muy buen video tengo una pregunta Y en vez de conectarle dos baterías de la misma capacidad Por qué no comprarle una sola de más capacidad por ejemplo de 2500 miliamperios con salida de 3.7 voltios y las mismas medidas serviría colocársela
Hey since you got both the Go 3 and Altec Lancing Hydramini, can you do a comparison between them? Which one do you think sounds better? I just want a cheap, almost disposable speaker, but $50 for the Go 3 seems a bit too steep for a throw around speaker lol, I also don't think it's worth $50 in terms of sound quality
Just take JBL Go 2 or Go 3. I have heard many small speakers like this before I bought Go 3 and JBL has most natural, big sound with nice, also natural bass. Many speakers like this have unnaturally boosted weird bass. And the quality of JBL is outstanding. If you want to save some money - go for Go 2. It is also pure awesomeness.
@@Ignacio.Romero I haven't tried it. Stereo option with two speakers and going down to 70Hz looks nice on paper. But does it sound good? What about materials quality? In my opinion Sony micro speakers have unnatural bass and JBL is waay better from Sony.
No but I don't have it I give it to my uncle but I have the anker soundcore trance go similar with the rave neo here is the link of the video ua-cam.com/users/shortseihTv2zKO9Q
Hey, i find the idea great but I'm wondering if it could lead to complications since the batteries still need a bit of space in case that they bloat... Would be great if you could share your opinion:)✌🏻
bloating is an issue that could happen to any polymer battery overtime. ive seen these polymer battery boat in device to the point where it cause the enclosure to break apart or swell. im sure you will notice some defomity in the shape of the speaker if the battery get bad. this way you can take proper action.
@@HBV90 Thanks for the answer the problem i have is that i only found 850mah battery on aliexpress with the model number 383562.Do you think it can cause problem to combine it with the 750mah original go3 battery if the battery have not the same mah???
If you using not similar baterries, its just okay, the speaker working properly, BUT when u start charging, the indicator lamp charge maybe missed that calculating cuz the bms of battery must have charging the small capacity battery first. So, you have to pull it out the charger and charging again to reach full capacity. For example, if u see the indicator charge its blank, u have to pull it out, and the u charging again until the indicator blank again.. hope this answer help u
Hello sir, I want to ask something about this JBL GO 3, please tell me. I also want to increase the battery power of JBL GO 3 like this.where do you live 🥺🙏reply back
well, you definitely loose warranty and with that the official IP67 Rating. I also would not bet on the actual watertightness since the seals were broken.
Jest nowa rewizja GO3 - ja taką mam i różni się demontaż od twojego.Jak również nie użyjesz dwóch akumulatorów bo nie zamkniesz obudowy.Musisz kupić jeden bardziej pojemny akumulator.

The steel weight is there, so the speaker doesn't bounce itself off of whatever its standing on. Mine always yeets itself off my desk
So far so good!!!!
hey, can i ask what are the dimensions and specifications of battery that you bought?
Do we get a waterproof test after the mod?
Yea
Nice upgrade! Thanks!
Your spot-welder kinda looks like a bug. It's cute.

those batteries are in parallel so they do not suffer from balance issue and there is no voltage difference.

normal, el detalle es conseguir una bateria de calidad porque se te puede inflar si le pones una mala bateria barata

the polymer battery is 383562. You can get them anywhere online.
Hello can you make the speaker waterproof again after opening it?
yes, just make sure you put it back together tightly
🎉
How to remove automatic disconnection?

yes it last longer. i get around 8-9 hrs on a full charge. it does take a little longer to charge due to double the capacity.

true, but this just allow the speaker to have a longer playtime without needing to charge.

Capacity is increase but voltage is still the same at 3.7v as the batteries are parallel. theresfore no additional bms is needed.

Actually you only need one per setup
I think its local, cause an original jbl go 3 only one press to open.
