- Jeff Stone checks out a British bike that takes him back to his younger days - the 1998 Triumph 900 Cruiser. Although overall design is based on a more classic design, it is a thoroughly modern bike where the performance is reliability is concerned.

Another great review, Jeff, thorough, fluffless, and always enjoy your witty quips- Thanks! Keep up he great work
At 5:00 Triumph does offer what they call a mudguard extension (T2300338) that goes underneath the license plate light. I wish I could attach a photograph of what one looks like on my bike. Also, the rear fender (mud guard) on a Thunderbird is quite different with an area for the license plate light. I have a Thunderbird rear fender painted to match the bike, but I haven't installed it yet. Check some videos of the Thunderbird to see what it looks like. I believe that the Legend was geared for a rider that weighs about 150 pounds. I weigh more than that. I changed the rear sprocket for a smoother acceleration from rest. I lost top speed, but I wasn't planning to go that fast anyhow.
I have made some small changes to my bike. It doesn't change the character of the bike, just enhances it.
Great bikes! We just did a review on a custom cafe racer style one! Love the sound of them 👌🏻👌🏻
I'm looking for a classic bike, but not really Harley person. Recently gotten my eyes on a triumph Bonneville, or the cheaper Thunderbird. I'm really loving the looks and the sitting position.
I love the colour scheme!
But surely a seasoned rider remembers to turn the indicator off..?
Took about 3 seconds to piss me off. It's not a cruiser, it's a naked roadster so you can ditch the CHiPs helmet, wooden gloves and flappy jeans. I had one some years ago, great bike much got than the Bonnies & more of a premium feel. Sadly wrote it off.
“Listen to that, silence” 😂😂😅🤣 a true motorcycle enthusiast.
Hmm selling it to me, I like thu might go for the Thunderbird.. decisions, decisions or it the Thunderbird as opposed to Legend
As a new rider these look extremely affordable. Best part of £10k for a new bonneville but you can pick these up for under £2k with virtually no miles.
4 years later and they're £3500-4000.
@@shiftyshamsk Yeah, I regret not buying one at the time. 😅
God I miss the 90s 😒
did 35k miles on one of these from new great bikes..steel rims though not ally like report says..
Early bikes (like my 96 Thunderbird) have alloy rims
Now for £3500-4000.
