Hey girl! I’ve been following your journey as we moved to Aus similar times. I think you’re in UX (sorry if I misunderstood) and I work in comms/marketing, so similar ish fields and I’ve struggled so much to get a job (I’m in the Gold Coast). Always here if you want to chat and congrats on how well your YT is going, you got this 💛
I love your vlogs so much. Good luck with the accommodation and job hunt! Job/accommodation hunting is definitely the hardest part about moving to Australia so I feel u :(( but u got this
great vid , you are going well and taking it as it comes , not comparing or complaining , your future is assured , best wishes from an old 77 male who has had a fortunate life best wishes , and luck ,dont think you need it
good luck on the accomodation hunt. i've always just used cancer council sunscreen, quiet a few of those are at least a few hours water resistant and some have moisturiser in them too. always best to reapply after swimming anyway.
Jobs - might have missed something in previous videos. Getting something other than casual hospitality, retail and harvesting jobs on a working holiday visa is very challenging. For example, nurses are in shortage throughout Australia. In a recent hospital stay, 90% of my nurses were Irish backpackers who all had registered with the Australia Registration Boards before coming but they were all working as casuals or agency staff. Salaried employment was not an option for their hospital employers. So maybe an option for you would be to offer yourself as a contractor or as casual to cover excess demand or other contingencies etc plus digital nomad work. You would need to get an ABN (Australian Business Number) which is a similar process to getting a TFN. Sorry if you know all this.
Thanks so much for the advice! I hadn't thought about contracting or casual work, so I'll definitely look into getting an ABN. Thanks for the insights :)

Be careful of the lillies with the cat. I lost my kitty to one, as soon as it bloomed, he was poisoned. :(
Will be my love
