Just received this $56 part for my 2007 RAV4 Limited V6, and it worked perfectly. NO MORE CLUNK! Great instructions too. Hint: you can drop on the bottom portion of the shaft (the last step) and then take the car for a short drive to make sure the steering wheel is still centered, if not (as was my case), drive dead straight for 50 yards or so, stop and lift the bottom part off the splines, move the wheel back to dead center and drop it back on the splines, then tighten with bolt. My OCD was firing on all cylinders when the wheel wasn't exactly perfect.
Thanks man, that was very helpful. I did what you said and replace it the shaft by myself. Thank you so much for such a great video! (Unfortunately, I still hear the knocking sound from the steering system. I still need to find how to fit it)
Great vídeo! However, I see how you wacked trying to insert back again in the shaft knowing already that you could've used the same reverse procedure with the pry small bar to open the the gap again and gently slide it in. Hammering that new piece could cause a minor damage.
My intermediate shaft has a brown/orange mist of fluid on it, dealer said it’s lubricant, no knocking or anything but just wanted to ask Incase he’s pulling a fast one?

Thankyou for the effort to make a quality video
You made an excellent video, thanks for sharing.
Is there a video showing how to hook that lower part to the steering pinion portion?
“Now let’s just carefully grab onto that shaft” 😏

I have a 07 rav4 where the steering wheel sort of gets stuck then jumps past a certain point. Would this solve that?
Cuál es el torque que le diste a los pernos con la llave dinamómetrica?
My Mg Service changed that for my MG5 free as a part of warranty issue.
What does the plastic part do?
Could you just loosen it all up with the bolts accessible?
3:39 I CANNOT GET THE BOLT OFF
Awesome video. Any chance you guys can make this for a gen4?
Can do this on my 08 Toyota Matrix?

I have a 2006 Rav4 been wondering if its electric..cant find where to change fluid
no change fluid on rav4 2006+
I think this is what’s going on in my scion tc
I wonder how you know that this part need to be replaced??? What was a problem?
Knocking in steering when turning at slow speeds either forward or backwards especially when going over a bump at the same time.
Does it fit one way only or multi direction. Other words does it have a idiot proof notch??
Nice 👍
Toyota wants $800 to do this.
