      This was actually pre floods, I usual run a few weeks behind to buffer against floods fires and mice plagues... It was a fun day out I have to say

    That little 80 is such a fantastic looking truck

      It is the stuff of envy and dreams Stu. Driving through the bush with the hood flaps up and doors tops off has inspired me to want to get mine on the road soon (ish), Mmmm were can I get more time from?

      Thanks David, the little 80" sure is a fabulous little truck, sadly Warrick badly broke his arm a few days after this and won't be driving it for a few months, you think he'd leave it a my place to be used but na... :-)

    • @DavidShirley
      @DavidShirley 3 роки тому +1

      @@VintageRestorationsAustralia Sorry to hear that about Warrick.....and you. I'll put my hand up to keep it turning over!! How unreal to find a Landy like that and keep the paint original. I've seen a NRMA version, but with skiing and Perisher close to my heart, Charlotte is extra special. I wonder if there's a 1968 2A 88 with in Perisher livery out there ready to be restored!!

    Wish I could have donned a check shirt and joined you on that nice little jaunt. Stu's looking pretty thin these days - hope Dangar Island hasn't washed away!

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  3 роки тому +1

      Yer, "the flanny" as they are know are the adventure shirt of choice :-) You'd be most welcome when we finally get to venture to far off shores again. Dangar is pretty safe, its well into the tidal influence and not really prone to flooding. We got cut of from town for a few days, but that happens a few times a year in a good year so no big fuss.

    • @sonofedmund5004
      @sonofedmund5004 3 роки тому

      @@VintageRestorationsAustralia Thanks Steve, got a few "flanny" shirts myself, just need some adventure other than work and shopping which is pretty much all we've been allowed to do for 6 months out of the last year!

    G'day Steve, Nice to see a series 1 being used as intended. Most of them here in the UK are expensive shiny show queens.. How about fitting a Dangar Detroit diesel into into a series truck that would make a good project. Great Channel keep it up.

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  3 роки тому

      Thanks m p, they are a great little car and super capable as off roaders, I can appreciate shiny cars but it's about driveing them for me. The Detriot may be a squeeze :-) Martin from Slowshop & Custom has fitted a big ford V8 to an 80" great project, worth checking out.

    A brilliant piece of work there Steve! I reckon your best yet. An excellent selection of characters worthy of the big screen.

      Ah thanks Mr Foreman, screens are just not big enough for those boys, it's always most excellent to spend time with old mates.

    V nice day out. Tops. I just looked at the maps - I knew Bemboka and Candelo from my old days delivering to Pambula from up the Monaro, and that Packers Swamp Rd looks like a lovely drive. I predict you have just boosted traffic to Alexanders Hut etc...

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  3 роки тому

      Yes a very nice drive through there, loads more trails to explore also. I suspect your prediction is correct, it's a nice little camp.

    Hi Steve, great video. It looks like you guys had a great time, especially liked the out takes at the end. I used to go four wheeling all the time here in Colorado. See you next time.

    Looks like you had a great little trip in a great part of the country. Perenties are now a dime a dozen on the road these days but a Senior Command Vehicle (the wagon) is very rare and sought after vehicle - great to see it out as well :-)

    • @VintageRestorationsAustralia
      @VintageRestorationsAustralia  3 роки тому

      Thanks Joe. The the wagon is a sweet ride, I think they only made 38 (?) of them so yes a rare truck to see, Dman get plenty of offers for it but it's one of the family.
