Rhiannon Perley-Waugh there is nothing to do with One Ui for edge lighting it just the Samsung Music App which you have updated to Latest Version if you updated the app there still a hope just uninstall the app from latest Version you can do it from settings
@@aljo1641 @Andrew Williams! Was right. You can download the previous version of Samsung music even with Android UI update. You'll have to uninstall the update that comes with UI and find the previous version on the internet and download it. I did that and got the edge lighting feature back.
I love most of the changes in One UI, but multi window has changed for the worse... Now you don't get any options when tapping on the separation bar. So there's no way to swap the position of the apps, and more. Edit: you can get it added back in the latest update of the Good Lock Samsung app. Weird though that you have to go out of your way to fix this.

Thanks for the note 9 coverage, it's much appreciated by a fellow user. I've found some bugs or settings missing from the one UI update and i thought you should know. Maybe you can help. - The ability to enter your fingerprints to access Samsung browser secrecy mode is gone/disabled. You can only enter using iris scan or password. - The phone optimisation edge panel is gone and nowhere to be seen. - The ability to use multi window by swiping diagonally down from the top left hand corner of the app is gone/disabled. As is the multi window setting from the settings menu. - If you enable the swipe menu gestures and disable nav bar, you can not long press on the recent apps area to initiate split screen multitasking. I used these functions all the time and now they're missing, compromised or have had extra steps inserted.
My software update is here. But I am scared of updating it because I hear a lot of people regret about updating theirs and want to go back if possible.
@@arifdanial2060 The battery drain has gotten crazy. The battery was perfect on Oreo. Samsung has a thing about doing updates & removing features that shouldn't be removed. Oreo had the list view for the recent apps, it was clean & easy to do solit screen from there. There was the snap window feature, that was PERFECT it made split screen soooooo easy as well. Now, you have to go through unnecessary steps to get to split screen. Action memo was literally the best feature, they replaced it with Samsung notes which is absolutely trash.

I got one ui on my S9 in December and I havent had any updates since not even a security update I'm still on 1 December 2018. Anyone else noticed this I have the SM-G960F version of the S9

That interface looks so nice, reminds me of the hours of searching and customizing I went through with custom mods to get it to look basically like this one. Now if they just started making phones small enough to get in and out of my pocket easily....

Now with One UI, I Must use the apps edge bar to open Only certain apps at the app edge bar, and it must open as a pop-up window not split screen. Can you make a video on this?

Where is the option under the advanced wifi settings to set it "never" during sleep? This saved a TON on the battery life when your phone is not in use before this update.

The One UI looks cleaner and faster in certain parts but I do have several complaints. However, there are a plethora of useful features that were removed and it resulted in an inefficient usage of the phone. The "press and hold" on the recent button has been removed so accessing split screen is one too many steps. I don't understand this recent apps design of the card UI. It looks nice but again, it's inefficient. There are certain animation bugs for certain transitions from app to app, which can make it look choppy. The new camera UI usability has decreased and "scene optimization" mode makes everything look blurry so I disabled it. Why haven't they provide an option to have the navigation bar in black colour for night mode? As a result, the One UI has a few ups but with many downs. I hope they'll bring back the features and fix some usability issues for Android Pie.

After update, when I'm on my home screen I can no longer see anything up in the right hand corner. No battery, no nothing. all icons are gone. They are there when I'm in the appdrawer, settings, lockscreen etc. Any ideas?

I hate the recent cards. I preferred a compact view.
I like it but there some glitches on animations. Never had that when I was using recents when good lock worked. Such a buggy update.

T-Mobile S9Plus here. It performs better tha Oreo IMO. Just make sure to wipe cache and do a full reset.

After I did my update at least 3 times a week I wake up to my phone saying sim locked please power cycle your device that does fix it very annoying

After updating to One UI, I am not able to see the message on the lock screen and it just show the apps icon instead. Any way to solve this?
