Incredibly hard to believe! We've lost our Canfor sawmill in Chetwynd, a pulp mill in PG, another in Taylor, and now I hear a cant mill in Chilliwack that was only 10 years old. This is all in last year! What took decades to build and operate. Mackenzie logging/mill industry has been gutted, as well as southern BC. Next problem will be no wood for construction with extremely short supply and extremely expensive prices. My faith in provincial and federal government to operate in a ethical and responsible manner is at an all time low. I see what our forefathers build for us turning upside down and seemingly destroyed by jaded boards and committees. Our youth deserve better, like my elders did for my wife and I. All of these mills have one thing in common, " lack of fiber". Incredible?
