Seeing as how politicians have royally screwed things up, I think that comedians should take over the country, at least its their job to make us laugh.
So what? Chill and let them say what they want! Even ig they're bad mouthing you, it shows that they're intimidated. I myself learned almost all swearwords and insults of most minority languages in my country from my friends just for the fun of it. Surprisingly 99.9% of the time they're not insulting anyone and it's just the paranoia acting up. And at that once in a while time where they're actually saying bad words about me i just smile, it freaks them out that i understood. Wich is even funnier ;)
Talking as a person who'se lived in Northern Ireland and Switzerland for more than 4 years each, I can assure you foreigners usually dont slag you off in their language. They're usually busy talking to their mom on the phone, complaining about work to a coworker/friend, complaining about some paperwork they have to fillnin because of being foreign, what they want to do that night, family stuff, and all the other ordinary things. It's just nice to be able to vent at times without locals around you telling you to go back where you came from if you dont like it. As if anyone liked long working hiurs or bullshit paperwork for some government institution. Or British food
I can assure you that they were ignoring you completely. Before I had two languages I thought that would be a useful purpose. Turns out everything is more interesting than you.

Hilarious and I think Romesh stile the show completely!
*Mock the Week* (S13, Ep01; June 12, 2014) Presenter: Dara O'Briain Team 1: Andy Parsons (captain), Katherine Ryan, Romesh Ranganathan Team 2: Ed Byrne, Hugh Dennis (captain), Milton Jones
This bit doesn't have a common theme and that's why it's not legendary like some other MTW bits but I'll be damned if this doesn't include some of the best semi-random jokes they've done.
Katherine Ryan is a weird one for me; she seems like a really sweet and likeable person and I really really really want to find her funny, so I keep trying to, but she's just... not
The number of romanians living in the UK has increased by 350'000 since 2007 (up 2000%) and bulgarians by over 70'000 (up 1400%) if you wanted the official statistics, neither country were granted freedom of movement by the EU until 2014 either.
@@paulw6183 Congratulations on completely missing my point, which was light-hearted and humorous, and instead seizing an opportunity to give some numbers which support your narrative. If you're going to do that, please cite your sources so I may verify that they've not been taken out of context, but in any case it would have been much more appropriate if you'd at least made reference to the way that I corrected what Andy Parsons had said, from the erroneous "less" to "fewer", which would have been correct. My humour is in fully recognising the pedantry, in a subtly self-deprecatory manner, with a side-swipe at anyone who abuses the word "triggered" thrown in for good measure. I hate having to explain humour.
@@clickrick So by picking up that you petulantly corrected the terminology he uses, i petulantly corrected the made up fact that he pulled out of thin air, because clearly it's incorrect. I reckon your misinterpretation of my comment is also fairly deliberate, why assume i have a narrative? I don't really give a toss on the subject. I would say it's still funny but not as funny as 9(+) years ago. Some more current highlights going to Milton Jones and James Acaster. But they can't top Frankie's risky quips and Rory's impressions.
Yep, and everyone totally cares about your opinion of what’s funny, Sam 🙄 If you had a sense of humour yourself, you’d have made a funny comment. Alas...
"Give 'em the old wobble-head" Romesh, I think I love you.

I think I've had it up to here with these foreign cultures and their respect for the elderly

Ed Byrne at 1:50 ... I'm tapping out. 🤣🤣🤣
Romesh and Ed win the points.
I love any scenario that puts multiple comedians together xD
Or, with just one nonecomedian, and see them have the time of their life :D

I wouldn't mind hearing foreign languages on the buss all the time if I wasn't 100% sure they were slagging me off.
This is the main reason why I can speak quite a few languages and know basic insults in a few more. XD
