Can you do a video on how to be a better driver? The people I have towed are newbies and I'd like to know advice to give them the best chance to get up from a drivers standpoint.
Do you just mash the throttle down when starting out? So I am in forward drive, 1st position just out of neutral, cruise control set, and I was told by the previous owner to just pin the throttle. Boat goes like a bat out of hell and then dials down once surf speed is hit per cruise control (currently set at 10.8 mph). Is this bad for the boat? Should I ease into the throttle vs. doing what I stated above? Same question for wakeboarding? Boat is a 2018 Moomba Mondo with every option. 🙏
Thanks for reaching. The Moomba Mondo is a cool boat. Yes, I know what you mean. For Wakeboarding I normally hammer the throttle down pretty hard, but when I wakeboard the boat is full of ballast and takes awhile to get on plan. If it’s a new rider and no ballast I’ll ease into the throttle. For Wakesurfing I always ease into the throttle. It is really crucial for new riders. I was able to do it during my first session but not consistently. As you said, practice, practice practice, body position and foot placement!
