This song, like the previous one about "Kisaragi Station", is another reference to another Japanese urban legend "Saruyume", literally means Monkey's Dream. Basically the narrator has a dream where he is incapacitated on a train, and he sees a row of other passengers in front of him getting bloody murdered by a monkey train conductor one by one. Every time someone dies, he wakes up. But goes back to the same dream every time he falls asleep, with the death row getting closer and closer. And when it's his turn, he uses his sheer will to wake himself up. The last thing he heard from the conductor was "Running away again? Next time you won't be able to escape!"
I never was into this kind of music, I always listened to stuff like metal and slightly softer metal, but this hit me. It's so mysterious. A little nameles creator that you just come across by chance, (I know they technically have a name, but you know what I mean) releasing songs mostly without a name. Hello! For those of you who are new here or wondering what this song is all about, it is about a story "Saruyume"(Saru=Monkey, Yume=Dream, so, Monkey dream). As funny as it sounds, this is a 2chan(like that kisaragi station one)user who happened to read a thread about a people who have had saruyume experiences. Four days after reading this, the user had a dream in which they were on a rollercoaster ride they went as a child. All the details are from their childhood, but just the user is the same age as they are now. The ride is basically a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel, the ride ends. But after crossing the tunnel, the user find themselves on a train which is going somewhere. They are in cabin 5, judging by the smoke coming from cabin 4, which is a smoking cabin. One thing remarkable about this is the silence of the cabin, and the people sitting on one seat each( assume the seats to be car seats type, one behind the other, set of three etc.). At a station, the user hears a voice saying "hoisting" and immediately, a lady on the back seat suddenly got hoisted uowards, like she was hanged. She began clawing at her neck for some time and screaming, and was still after. There were still 6 people behind the user, and if what the user read was correct, one was killed by "live carving", and the other one by "scooping out". At the next stop, the user tried hard to wake up, but was unsuccessful. Then the user heard "skewering", and five people behind the user were skewered.
