Loved sailing on this Holland America ship. Zaandam sailed out of Vancouver in this video. It was just a one night cruise so I had to shoot all this video pretty quickly. The video starts on the pool deck and then it works it's way down the ship, deck by deck. My stateroom clip is at the end of this video. It was cabin 7036 on deck 7. Be sure to thumbs up and subscribe if you found this helpful, and check out more cruise goodness at cruisefever.net.

Really like the way you did this---NO narration, NO junk---just
presenting the ship as it is. Great job!

Sailing on her in Feb 2023 for 14 days from Fl to San Diego via the Panama Canal. Our 4th HAL ship and look forward to sailing on a smaller ship.

We have been on 10 of the Dam ships, but not the Zaandam. However, all of the ships that were built special for HAL seem to have a similar layout and decor and it makes it very easy to go from one ship to the next and find your way around. The one most important difference is the crew on the Amsterdam greets you like you are family and coming home for the reunion! I hope they can keep the team together.

I did the Alaska cruise on this boat in early May, everything was great, service with everything was amazing, the food was good at the Lido deck restaurant, the breakfast was a hit and miss because everything was swimming in grease

Loved seeing your video! We were on the full 23 day cruise through the Panama Canal so your one night cruise was our last night. We even noticed the small piece of black tape on the tennis court that my husband put down to mark lines for pickleball! (At 13:49 minutes into the video)
The Zaandam is a beautiful ship. We had an ocean view cabin on the lower promenade deck and were lucky enough to have one of the new bathrooms with a large, glass shower.

LOL, it is rather small for a cruise ship now, holding about 1432 passengers.

@@chriswilliams6568 One of the ladies with the program I’m with, is taking myself and a few other clients along this gorgeous ship, May 1st to May 8th, on a cruise to Alaska, it is my first time on a cruise and I am absolutely thrilled to be going, The program that I’m with, is thinking about taking clients on this cruise again in the future and other trips, most likely budget friendly trips where you don’t have to pay up to $10K or more……. Even though this is one of the smaller cruise ships, for all of us is a great size…. My personal thinking is that we’re going on this cruise and at other times in the future, because the much higher prices with bigger and newer ships would cost way too much, and some of us clients can’t be able to go on the higher priced cruises, I also think that just more conventional for the clients, we range in age between 29 (myself) to about mid 60’s…. And this cruise is more beneficial for us all than the other ships, because it’s more of a mature cruise experience and laid back, vs full of kids kicking and screaming… anyway yes even if small, I personally wouldn’t like to go on one of the bigger cruise ships, not because I wouldn’t enjoy it, I think I would, but nearing 30, makes me want to hangout with the other older and more mature adults

I've been looking for any info on the 12 day refurbish the Zaandam went in for on April 2, 2018 at Freeport, Bahamas. You were on only the second cruise following that. The Zaandam looks like it is in beautiful condition from what I could tell. I'll find out first hand on May 21 as we cruise to Alaska for 2 weeks. Thanks for taking the time to do this review! Any more notes on what was updated (or not) would be appreciated. Your website looks interesting...I'll check it out.

Looks like a beautiful ship!! These ships never look like they have enough patrons aboard to stay afloat though??

The you-tubers mostly take the photos on a day when a lot are on shore.

I TOOK THIS SHIP TO ALASKA: IT WAS A NIGHTMARE, SMELLED LIKE SEWER, DEAD SHIP, HARASSING ALL THE WAY EVEN IN THE PORT OF CALL STOPS: IN CAHOOTS WITH THE SHOPS, BAD EXPERIENCE. BY 10 PM THE SHIP WAS COMPLETELY DEAD, TOTALLY DEAD … AND THE SHOWS: PURE MIERDA … WHAT A DIFFERENCE WITH OTHER CRUISE ships that I have take before.

This is why one has to book a cruise line that fits their personality. You booked the wrong one for you. Try RCI or Carnival, loud party ships. Or in the middle are Princess and Celebrity.
