Yknow it's late for me to reply, but if the listener was suicidal... calling them was not them being clingy, rather a way of not yknow... suicide, often times it is recommended that when you feel like that you call a loved one to talk, to calm down, which is why in the script he feels so bad, bc he knows to an extent how anxious and bad the listener is doing mentally.

Wouldn't that be a pretty toxic relationship? Cuz first, the y/n in the situation is depressed and pretty much says it would be better if they disappeared every time the other yells at them. I think this was a one time thing. Anyone can say something they regret immensely, it takes another kind of person to admit to their mistakes and beg for forgiveness. Even when the other person has already forgiven them. You can tell he truly regrets his actions. And hopefully never does that again.
