    This style of writing sure""" is very very different from the letter styles that I learned to paint in Sign School in 1971"".... I love your style very much because I can use it so many ways. For that., thanks a million, I will keep watching your videos!▪︎▪︎¡gracias!

    I'm really freaking out about watercolor and modern lettering and it happens that fate has brought me here in your channel! I really like it when you always say "light" and "heavy" with those strokes. It makes an impact to those people who want to learn modern calligraphy! Teach us more, senpai! :*

    Teela (beautiful name by the way), I have just subscribed to your awesome channel! I am a newbie at brush lettering so I have a long way to go but I wanted to ask you, "how do you determine the base line (if that's what you call it LOL) of each individual letter within a word"? This is most challenging for me, along with the spacing between each letter within a word.....guess that tells me to keep practicing eh! Off to watch more of your YT tutorials. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with us Teela!

    How do you remove stains from water brush?

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  8 років тому +18

      +Haydee Rosales staining is completely normal and won't affect the final outcome of your lettering as long as you clean the excess paint off of your brush, so no worries about removing staining :)

    • @cagedphoenix6005
      @cagedphoenix6005 5 років тому

      My waterbrush got stained and some color got stuck inside the bristles , I added a little shampoo in a mug n soaked my brush's top part fr half an hour n later rinsed properly with water and it was clean again. Try this. Hope it helps.

    HiTeela. Thanks for this tutorial thou I have a question. I am trying calligraphy design like you did for " Hi this is" but as I try the upward stroke, it seems that I cant get the thin line since the brush is so soft and as if the tip of the brush is not that thin . I still get the thick line for upstroke eventhough I am doing the light stroke. i am using Small water brush and a calligraphy pad acid-free 100 gsm paper is it okay for water brush? hope to hear from you thanks

    • @EveryTuesday

      +Icelo90 The medium has been the best for me to practice with because it's easier to get really nice weight contrasts right away, so I would start with that first :)

    am I able to use any other brand of paint with these water brushes? And what if i wanna put paint into the penbrush instead of water? haha i've just buyed them so I have basically no idea what I can or can't do!

    • @EveryTuesday
      @EveryTuesday  8 років тому +1

      +Moni Losada Hey! I would recommend against putting the paint into the waterbrush since it'll be a thicker consistency than water and will likely clog your valve system and make the brush unusable. You can use any kind of watercolors with the brush though, as long as you have water in that waterchamber :)

      Watercolor is definitely the way to go using a waterbrush (don't use acrylics, it'll be a nightmare!) - if you're having trouble, you may need to add more water added to your paints or try a different kind (pan sets, tubes, concentrated)
