- KAMIKAZE-Collection has just introduced their new Stance Rim Coat 4.0, and in this video review, Todd explains what's different, what's better, and how it is to apply.
Whether you are a DIY detailer or a professional, the new Stance Rim Coat 4.0 is in our opinion, the best wheel coating solution on the market!

The first two versions, got many coats out of a bottle, easy to use, very nice. 3.0 was not easy to use, unless you did very small sections even on a simple design wheel, and would always seem grabby until maybe after the second towel wipe and it started to cure, where the first two versions were slick AF. Now though, 3.0 seemed very tough. My winter wheels for the wife, 2 layers inside and out when new. 2 NE Ohio winters(20k miles ish for her), and still going strong. I took them off last spring and didn’t clean them, stored them at the shop(I know I know). Washed them with Gyeon Bathe yesterday, little Gyeon iron, and I’d say probably 90% like freshly coated, I was impressed. The outer faces maybe had one top up with PA super sport last year, but not the inner barrels and the water just fell off. Got her a new vehicle, and I got new rims for my Jeep so excited to try the 4.0. Her factory wheels are machined with dark accents and the Jeep wheels are satin bronze so interested to see how they look coated and enhance the look.
Todd… got my order ✅ is there a critical recoat time on this for a second coat? Recommendations?
Will you be doing a video of the new Kamikaze sealant ?
I really want to see Kamikaze Amazing Glaze!
What do you think is the best ceramic coating to put on PPF. Hi gloss look
Pretty crazy how expensive some of these coatings have gotten.
KAMIKAZE Tax
Make more money or move onto something cheaper
It’s actually quite cheap on considering ease of cleaning on rims and time saved
Never been a big believer in wheel coatings as they dont seem to last. Ive tried gyeon, gtechniq etc.. being Kamikaze does this one actually work and last?
Does this work on newly powered coated wheels also? I've been a Gyeon Rims user for awhile.
I used to use Gyeon Rim and was pretty disappointed. Personally, I’ve gotten more than twice the life out of the last version of Stance (3.0). I still saw solid water beading after two years, but I’ve only done about 14k miles and wash my rims with Gyeon wheel cleaner roughly every three weeks.
What is the longevity of the product after applied to the wheel or how long wheel it last on the wheel before re-application is necessary?
Esoteric claims 1-2 years is reasonable depending on usage and preparation. I personally saw 2 years but I think I’m a bit of an outlier.
Hi Todd… I’ve got some aging red Stoptech calipers that have oxidized a little. Will this coating or another restore the vivid red ? Thanks in advance!
No. You need to try and polish it off first. What it would do is just seal that on there more.
Thanks for the reply 😎 got them polished with Nano and they look great
I don’t have the ability to remove my wheels. Can I use this product just on the face of the wheel?
Definitely 👍🏻
What would be the shelf life after opening?
Would this work well on motorcycle wheels ?
Absolutely. Used on motorcycles before
First!!!
