This was epic ! I think Divided Sky is one of those songs that divides phish fans… such a beautiful composition …i am on the awe camp….whatta masterpiece from Trey ! Sounded perfect with the orchestra 🙏
I love Trey. I love Phish. This is one of my favorite pieces of music; BUT the guitar tone sucks - the highs are too rolled-off and it needs some bite, like a tube screamer ? it would also be infinitely better if Fishman were there too. It is interesting though, and I understand musicians wanting to do new things, but all of the building up of this piece is lost in this arrangement, the energy is gone, it's so boring.
I like this as a Phish song but it makes so much more sense to me musically in this sense. This was wonderful
