    I watched all of your videos back when I first was looking into the DS and yours made me feel so comfortable with the decision to move forward. Glad to see you again and thank you for making all your updates. It has always been a huge help!!

    Hey! You're doing and looking great! The mind is so powerful. I think you've adjusted beautifully and you've taken a solid, thoughtful approach to addressing your feelings. My memory sucks too. You did respond to my question! I'm the one who didn't follow up. I was actually thinking it may be a good idea to answer my question in a vid because I cannot be the only one asking for a bit more detail on the consequences of not eating right after surgery, physically. Hugs sweet lady!!

    You're doing awesome and you look great. As for the scale number I get it almost 1 year out now and I am reminded not to loose touch with my former self. The good news for you is that you have all the old videos forever captured here as a reminder. Thank you for your honesty and being a DS rep here!

      Thanks! I do like having this record of the process - it keeps it all real for me. :P

    So good to see you posting again! Yours were some of the few DS videos I could find when I was first making my decision to have that particular surgery, and they were a huge help.
    Your beagle snoring cracked me up. Before I realized the sound was coming from the video, I was looking around to see if one of my cats had fallen asleep nearby. 😄

      Oh yeah, my beagle can bring the thunder, snore-wise. :P Glad my videos were of use to you - that is always really nice to hear!

    Totally get the shirt thing and the scale thing. It really bothers me when i hear people reflect badly on their heavier/fat former selves. That person had the courage to get us to the surgery. I love her! Aren’t you glad you have this video diary of your adventure? 🤗💕

    I'm really interested in your experience with plastics. Hope you keep making videos about that!

      Hi Heather! I will do so, once I finish saving up and get ready to make a move on that process. :)

    Thanks Amy, I am trying to make the big decision. I have had a consultation with your dr but I am having a hard time getting things set up to start the process of qualifying. And of course I am finding opposition from others, my chiropractor for one, who think I should "just get healthy". I would love to chat with you sometime about getting things started.

      Hi Debbie. I know there are lots of well-meaning people who give advice to folks in our position about getting healthy. Well-meaning does not equal well-informed. That is why doing your own research is so important. I am happy to chat with you anytime about my experience and how you can start the process if you decide that bariatrics are the right path for you. If you like, PM me on here (I think you click on my name and then on the about tab, and then click message) and I will give you my contact details so we can get connected.

      Still thinking about the DS I am just not sure that I can do it because of my IBS.

    Do you ever think of coming back to UA-cam? Maybe some “what I eat in a day” videos, or some detailed vitamin regimen videos now that you’re a veteran DS’er.

    I'm about to get this surgery in a month and I'm actually really worried about hair loss just wondering what are the best brand of vitamins to get for that ?

    • @switchedfocus9275
      @switchedfocus9275  7 років тому +1

      Biotin is key. Most hair and nail vitamins are mostly Biotin. The hair loss right after surgery is pretty darned common and there isn't much to be done but endure it. Luckily, it doesn't last, and hair comes back into the growth phase all by itself, as long as you are getting your protein in every day and supplementing properly with vitamins. One thing I can say is that for me at least, it has been COMPLETELY worth it. Hope you will feel the same way! Good luck on your surgery, definitely cheering you on.
