My friend who ran a small paper for years was so displeased when he had to print a paper saying a Republican won.He is retired and his wife who past last year felt like crying Everytime.They decided a few years ago as they were retiring to print their real feeling about Trump and their local Republicans.They were emailed so many great wishes and so happy they wrote it.Ofcourse some not.That was in 2020 .Glad you are standing up to all those jerks.
I'm a childless cat lady here in Texas! Women are terrified of their husbands finding out how they vote, or being present when they vote. Remember Texas has the most restrictive abortion ban and women are fleeing to Mexico and other states (even service members). Hopefully Texans will remember its Republicans who have screwed them over time and time again. Look. I am born and raised southeast texas. The trump signs are 1/3 what they were in 2020. The democratic party has to use billboards or in person events to get outside the algorithms and they can move into rural territory. I have a lot of experience talking to trump voters or apathetic libertarians and there are around 50% of folks more malleable than the Democratic party is accounting for but these people are left behind and the algorithm has their full attention. If I don't see a Billboard that proclaims, "Save rural public schools. Reject private school vouchers. Vote Kamala Harris" or a billboard with Epstein and Trump hugging up posted on a corridor between major and minor Texas cities then they didn't even try. I've never seen a democratic mailer in my 42 years alive out here. Billboards and advertising slots on stations that serve smaller economic hubs will get you into the part of the electorate that made Clinton and FDR so potent. Project 2025 wants to kill the 40 hour work week. How are we not screaming it far and wide?

I was born and raised in Texas. I still live in Texas. When it was Beto vs. Ted it felt like choosing between cholera and the plague. Same thing with Hillary vs, Don, Same thing with Don vs Joe. I voted for some third party candidate who I knew had no chance of winning. I've never voted for a political party. On some issues I tend to be conservative, others more liberal. I've despised tRump since I read his book many years ago and watched maybe a half of an episode of his TV show. I'm glad Biden was the nominee instead of Sanders. I don't like extremes on either side.
But this year there is too much at stake. I voted against tRump and Cruz in the Republican primary. I also checked the Congressional representative from the 27th district. Michael Cloud voted against aid for Ukraine twice. That delay caused the deaths of thousands of Ukrainians who wanted to live in peace in their own homes. I believe Republicans and Democrats can work together and reach compromises that I will not completely agree with. But MAGATZ are not Republicans. Anyone who supports tRump or has been endorsed by him will not get my vote, I'll vote for their Democratic opponent.
Where I live not many people put signs in their yards or political bumper stickers on their cars. To me it seems like an invitation to vandalism. I don't think anyone would change their mind about their choice for President, Senator or Congressman over a sign. There are some fences at the corners of intersections where there are many signs from many candidates. I think the owners of the properties let anyone put up signs. I doubt many people or cattle care.
I believe in democracy. I don't like authoritarianism tRump is a threat to democracy. And a convicted felon would be disqualified for most jobs I've had. tRump, a convicted felon, shouldn't be allowed to vote and I damn sure don't want him to be Commander in Chief of our armed forces. You know, those people he calls suckers and losers.

Even here there are these massive trump flags on the tops of these trees that are at least 20 to 30 foot high. Massive pine trees and these ginormous flags are on poles secured to the tops of these trees. It is TERRIFYING sometimes to be a woman in texas even in a purple area and even more scary to be a liberal woman of color.

I'm from San Antonio, and I've counted 8 Kamala signs around my area. Everyday on my drive to school, there's a large Harris Walts sign on the side of the road, and several in the front yards of houses. I'm a 14 year old girl who used to never be interested in politics, but this year's election made me curious, especially with Biden dropping out. I hope Texas turns blue, and I'm trying to do my part, as I've donated to Kamala's campaign and also, my grandpa who usually never votes, is going to be voting for Harris Walz this year for me. We’re definitely within the margin for being able to turn it blue this election, given that the trend of past elections was shrinking the margin by about 5% at a time, and we only lost it in 2020 by about 5%. If not now, I’d say by 2028 it’ll be blue.
I'm in Texas and trust me when I tell you I see more and more and more people wearing t-shirts for Kamala etc etc. I am so proud of them. I'm rocking a lot of Midas touch items such as the coffee mugs. I walk around the block sipping my coffee with my beautiful mugs and I made a couple of my own t-shirts fKamala tor the win!!

Fort Worther here. I have never seen such activity and enthusiasm and I have lived here sine 1989. Our County Party is on the move with daily phonebanks - with lots of volunteers ready to go. Lots of blockwalking going on, much more enthusiasm than I would ever have imagined. Voter registration through the roof, and tons of You Tube ads. Never have I seen this here. Our Democratic Woman's Club is participating in Postcards to Swing States and we have distributied 3000 cards, which will be mailed out right before early voting begins and they are going to low propensity Democratic or Democratic leaning registered voters across the state. My 50 are ready to go. That is just our club!! Folks from across the nation in safe blue are helping this project in all the swing states and I read something like 30 million cards have been distributed nationwide to al swing states. Oh and by the way, Allred's ads are all over You Tube !!!

Retired people should all vote blue. Trump does plan to make cuts in Medicare and 'sundowning' SS. He has said that disabled people should just die because they're a drag on resources.

I am seeing lots of yard signs from both sides, sometimes next-door neighbors with 10 or more large size signs. But overall our city is very diverse and mostly Blue. 💙

I’m in Texas. I think many of us are afraid to put yard signs, bumper stickers, or even say much to people because the Republicans are so hard nosed. We fear for things like our cars or houses getting vandalized or our kids being bullied. Texas republicans are hard core. We don’t want to see Jan 6th behavior in our front yard. But, we can show our support at the polls!

I can say that in the last election I saw Trump signs everywhere I went. They are few and far between now. It definitely shows waning enthusiasm.
I totally agree. It seems I see fewer Trump signs than previous elections, in my neighborhood, but driving through part of rural Texas earlier this week, they have billboard size signs and banners in their yards. I plan to drive my Blue EV, wearing pearls & Chucks to vote! WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!

I am a Presiding Election Judge in Fort Worth and I hope we are so crowded and busy that I can barely stand up when we close the polls!!! I only work on Election Day, but we will have a good idea of trends re: turnout by the second or third day of Early Voting. Turnout is now and always has been the key to winning Texas and our turnout is going up and the margin between Republicans ad Democrats has been closing for the past 3 elections. The turnout in the first few days of early voting is a key indicator.

Some hope is being realized in America as the insanity is gradually waning.
i honestly think the polls are underestimating Harris by at least a couple of points. Polls always falter when enthusiasm is above normal levels for one party add to that they have been oversampling republicans to try to stop underestimating trump and you have some very likely ground for underestimating Harria. Harris is looked on favourably (Hillary was not) and has huge enthusiasm form a broad base (Hilary had some of the most apathy ever). Trump has never seen the like. Its good to know that he loves the colour orange so much I predict much more of it in his future😉
