Another tidy video. Can’t believe the mattress topper isn’t standard (it came with our new T6 Beach so assumed it was standard). Having had a perfectly good after market one for years in an upgraded T5, as you say, they’re nigh on essential.
Hey Chris, can you tell me what the standard spec is on the ocean in regards to the digital cockpit? You said you’d upgraded this one. I’d only want to use an iPhone but would want the digital cockpit - would you want to upgrade anything to do this?
Hi, Chris. Can you please explain what's the mejor diferences berween Gran California Trendline, Coast and Ocean? In terms of bedding, do the 3 of them have upper bed? And is it possible, in either cases, stand inside the 3 of them? Thanks, Margarida (PT)
Hey Chris quick questions about seating ? Can the ocean be ordered with an extra seat in the rear ? I like the ocean but would like to have the option over time to have 5 seats in it. Is this something that can be fitted so I can store the spare seat so some time in the future I can fit it back in when needed ?
If you have dsg then you probably need 4 motion to use it on wet grass, mud or snow. Winter tyres on 16 in wheels as well. Do they both have a heater? That’s essential. Forget vw sat nav it’s utterly useless. Look at some alternatives too Vw are now looney money.
The video I was waiting for! My criticism of the Ocean is that it is too luxurious for a campervan, thus pushing the price too high. Please tell VW UK to remove the digital dashboard, led lights and the annoying adaptive cruise control and lane change Side Assist, although the latter one can be switched off. These features should be options only on both Ocean and Coast. On the Coast it would be nice to have the front opening in the roof tent. Then I'll order one!
Fiona Robertson smallest is probably the Dometic cdf11 goes down to -18, CFX series if you want -22 but they are bigger, not tiny but a freezer on the move - cool! ;-)
Not at the moment, Luke. The VW California Coast is the closest to it at the moment. If you're thinking of adding a load of options to the Coast model it may be worth considering the Ocean, though.

Strange that the bottom half of the new 6.1 grille does not have the chrome work - it would look AMAZING!

That's why we ordered the Coast with minimal extras.
I'd love a little freezer enough for ice cubes in our ocean -. Any ideas what to use 😩😂

Hang ice cube bags from the chill plate. Works very well in my T4 California. Need the fridge set at about 4*C
