Awaiting Take Off

One for our strange visitors, that emerge seemingly from nowhere each year, greeted by dull skies and muggy days. Sat atop grasses they sway. Silent, wings shut. They wait for that splash of warmth, a magic moment that will let them open their wings for their maiden flight. A journey in which they’ll find a mate, a journey that will see them repeat this cycle year after year.

so beautiful and relaxing.... I love these close-ups where you can see the hairs. Mother Nature and especially all the little creatures are wonderful.We have a great responsibility to protect them and we should become more humble.
