    In 2019, I was asked to evaluate a drag panel concept for a California university team in the 10K COTS competition. The drag panels proved to be a very effective means to adjust the altitude within the performance limits of commercial motors.

      Yes, this seems to be the "go to" solution for getting those extremely accurate performances. Especially when you consider how much environmental factors play in your final launch altitude.

      @@ASTRABremen The first simulation I ran came within 500 feet. After fine tuning the algorithm, the simulated altitudes were all 9,850 - 9,900 feet.

    The percision those teams demonstrated is absolutely insane! Congrats to everyone who showed up with a rocket. These things are hard and expensive to build, so showing up counts as a win in my book. :D It must have been a giant party in the desert!
