- In today's mario video we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the bosses seen in the #supermario games made by nintendo. Throughout the years there have been a lot mario games like super mario world, super mario 64, super mario sunshine, new super mario bros, new super mario galaxy, super mario 3d land, super mario 3d world, super mario run, super mario bros 3 and not too long ago they released the new super Mario odyssey for the nintendo switch which has all kinds of new characters like cappy and locations like the sand kingdom, new donk city and bowsers kingdom. In these games we have seen power ups like the fire flower, ice flower, super mushroom, mega mushroom, super star, hammer suit, spring mushroom and way more. But there were power ups that helped mario, luigi, toad, princess peach, rosalina and the others to escape bowser, the broodals, koopalings and bowser jr. The reason why completing minus world on the Famicom version starts hard mode:
Once you beat the game regularly, you can play it in hard mode. Beating minus world tricks the game into thinking you've beaten the entire game regularly, causing the game to start in hard mode next time you play.

Oh, the 80's video game crash was much, much worse than you described. What people tend to forget is that, leading up to the NYC launch and through the first few years of the Nintendo revitalization, was the huge amount of *racism* thrown at NoA employees. Mid-to-late-80's America was massively racist towards all-things Japanese, and this was something else Nintendo had to overcome just to get their foot in the door, let along succeed.
Havent lived the 80s tho...
Don't forget this is also what gave us the more VCR look (and name) of the western NES compared to the Japanese Famicom system.
6:26 That final glitch where when you finish -3 and replace all enemies with buzzybeetles is actually a feature that unlocks when you beat the game the first time and you can see this by just playing the game a second time.

I think the reason that you get these specific levels when you go through the warp pipes has something to do with the fact that the default setting for where the warp zones take you is the code for the world 4-2 warp zone, and glitching into the 1-2 warp zone prevents the game from loading in the proper values for the warp destination, sending you to these strange glitch levels
Great video overall, just a couple of things to point out here.
The video game crash only happened in North America, and saying it was due to poor quality of games is highly inaccurate. There were a few reasons for it, but the main reason is most likely that personal computers became a big deal. Basically, since computers were upgradeable, far more powerful, and could do other things in addition to just playing games, game consoles were probably thought of as obsolete. However, toys were certainly not thought of as obsolete, nor will they ever be. So when Nintendo marketed the NES as a toy, it was a brilliant move that got around the problem and worked wonders for them pretty much immediately. Also, I'm pretty sure the minus world was discovered within a couple years of SMB's release, not in the 90's.
Except they didn't. The Famicom was renamed and redesigned as the NES, since they thought the original design felt too much like a toy and could keep western audiences from giving it a fair chance. They marketed it as a entertainment system (ha ha) for the whole family, including kids. As far as I know this even continued into the SNES era, where this might have been the reason for the recolored buttons on the US SNES controllers, since the four colors might have felt too colorful/toylike.
As far as I could find it was officially discovered in the 90s aside from that I never said it was due to poor quality
The reason why one version just crashes and the other doesn't is because of how data is arranged on a disc and the other on a cartridge

Hello, Wily. I really enjoy your videos. I do have a request of something that I would like to see you cover. It is something that I like to call the "Donkey Kong dilemma," and I call it that because Nintendo (and Rare, for a time) has been really inconsistent on the identity of Donkey Kong. Depending on which game you are playing, DK is different every time. There are times when Cranky is stated to be Donkey Kong from the arcade games, and that the current Donkey Kong is either a grown-up DK Junior or the son of DK Junior. However, there are times when it is stated that DK from the arcade is the same DK of today. It also doesn't help that Baby DK became a thing, mostly because Baby DK is more similar to the current DK than Cranky, who was young when he fought Mario, etc... Anyways, it is a convoluted mess, and while I know stuff not relating to the main Mario titles or Zelda is rarely covered, it should still be an interesting topic. I doubt we will get anywhere in regards to solving the mystery, but just talking about it might prove interesting. Please consider it, and I hope to see more of your videos. Keep up the good work.

I dont remember in what level it was in but there is a warp area that only has one warp pipie wich keads to world 5 note that this pipe is in the middle, when glitching in the 1-2 warp zone the warp zone defaults to the pipe that warps you world 5 meaning if you take the 2 other pipes since they arent assigned to a world you get warped somewhere in the code and get to world -1
In the game “New” Super Mario Bros. series, people like Andrew (Beta64) stated there was whay seemed to be worlds that looked like they were early and slow and it seemed like on uploaded videos footage out on UA-cam that it may have been early presentation footage and gameplay for the press, like a meetings room talking about new ideas kind of, like a sample

The ? boxes didn't work to give coins, mushrooms, powerup items yet
The progression tab below the course choosing stage was a bit different, use of earlier icons
Mario's mega mushroom allowed him to run removed though

Why is the game glitching out?
It's because of the difference between how the data Is arranged on a disc compared to a cartridge
On the disc version we were in luck that the glitched state of the game was able to create something that was playable while this wasn't the case on the cartridge version
