I like how you show how to be as efficient as possible and get the most out of one or two days on location.This is very valuable for people on a budget. Also I appreciate your honest evaluation of the various drones. I have been going back and forth trying to decide between the Mini3 Pro and the Mavic 3 classic. leaning more towards the classic. image quality and wind resistance are most important for me being that I am a photographer and live near the ocean. Best purchase in a drone i ever done👌 was gunning for the mini 3 pro, but luckily i held on, when the mini 3 was finally compatible with my Rc Pro, then came the M3 classic with all the bells and whistle’s!!! Said goodbye to the mini 3 pro and just kept my Air 2s and bought the M3 classic..so happy i made that descision👍 your travel vlog are breathtaking!😱👏🎉

@@DMProductions yup👍 we had a very high winds frigid cold day 2 weeks ago with here in michigan and tried to fly it just to see if the camera is stable in 40-50mph high wind and it held up pretty good and the M3 was wobbling around like crazy😱😂..

Thank you for your great video and amazing footage. It convinced me to sold my Air 2s and switched to Mavic 3 classic. It arrived now and I can't wait to take such an amazing footage. There drone looks also very nice, the dark grey combined with black. The main items for me: quality, flight time, Wind (at my places every day is windy), C Class label (from 01.01.2024 in Germany you will get the permissions with C-Class label drones only). Was back there in 2018 with my mavic pro, looking forward to going back this summer with my mavic 3 (which now has it's C1 label)... a lot better than the minis as often wind a problem..

@@DMProductions Mate I have a MAvic Mini 2 its good but that one you have is expensive and above 250g. Maybe the 3 is the way to go do you think 3 is a good one?
Whats the laws like in Spain are they chilled about drones or can you end up in the brown stuff? I know UK has the 250g which is easy.
Hi Darren as always great footage, it was a joy to watch, makes me want one but I think I will wait a year or two.
Meanwhile just got the Air 2s today, batteries charging will set up and fly tomorrow, can't wait to fly it, got really fed with the really strong winds we had last month only managed to fly Mini2 a couple of times, but with Air 2s I can fly every day.

I have the Air 2s myself. Awesome drone. More than enough for most people. Trust me. You will love it. All the people i know who ran out to but the classic did it for bragging rights . They are not making a living off the mavic classic. Their pics are posted on the very same FB page I post too and we get the same likes and comments 🤣

As I have said before the Mavic 3 Classic C1 is the drone to fly within EASA.
But if you want to travel with a drone the Mini3 Pro is the drone to have.
The combo Mavic3 Classic C1 / Mini3 Pro with the RC is the ultimate EASA drone pilot flying kit (if you have the money).
I have the M3P with the DJI RC and I have travelled with it. Maybe in 2023 I may consider buying the Mavic3 Classic C1 without any RC. The Mavic3 will be my main drone for flying within EASA and the M3P will be my travel drone.
Sounds like you have a perfect combo! Add some filters and batteries and you rule the sky!

Great video again. Question:- Now that the CAA have struck down C ratings. Shouldn't DJI unleash the full potential of the Mavic 3 (ie speed and controller power)? Also perhaps we should be able to easily buy the Mini 3 Pro extended battery as all that does it change the weight class to A2 which is fine for those with A2COFC licences. Those Geographical DJI restrictions surely can no longer be relevant here in the UK?

Thanks brother, I use the freewell nd filters, with this being pre production I had to use mavic 3 filters and stick them on

I am really liking this drone. I am seriously wanting to buy it, but I am going to delay because I want to see what the DJI Air 3s holds here in its future. I am sure it is going to catch up and pass the tech on the Mini 3 Pro. I just wonder what it will be offering. If the DJI Mavic 3 Classic ends up being the better choice, I will go for it. I love my Air 2s and it is a fun drone.
I honestly don't know what my problem is? I just can't bring myself to buy the Mini 3 Pro. I have the Avata and the Mini 2. I just don't know? The only thing that gets me towards the Mini 3 Pro is it pulls a lot less Karen's! Primary for inside video say of a home wouldn't I be just fine with Avata and in some cases my Air 2s without feeling I have to buy the Mini 3 Pro?

Its a great drone but if folks buy it with the combo then its just over 2k so in my opinion just spend the extra and get the M3 with the telephoto .

Hi, great vid bud, superb. One question is the red ND filter I noticed. Is this a variable ND or variable cpl etc..I always use a variable ND on my Mavic air 2, so would be good to know what you were using as I was planning to get the Mavic 3 classic very shortly.

DM, I thought for sure you were going to fly under the rock arch and come up and out the opening. That would have made a very impressive shot. Any way this video was very informative for me as I have my Classic being delivered in two days. Happy flying!
Nice you’ll love it ! That was my plan but I was actually quiet far from that rock so the chances of the signal disconnecting would of been high

Great Video as always. Darren could you please explain briefly, all the drone record in 4k, 5.xk, but in truth most of the videos are put on social media that compresses them and thus lose the resolution. Why then record in these rates?? Also, am I right in saying unless you view the raw footage on a 4K or 5K screen you will not see the benefits?? Or am I missing the point here? I just can't seem to get my head around all the recording rates. thx.

its all well and good showing how great the classic is out there in spain but here in the UK you wont be able to film anything like that due to restrictions.
Even in UK with the CAA not able to make a decision you can still fly within only 50m of people with the A2 course

Hi again, I received my Classic one week ago and I'm really disappointed. The focus works not correctly, every photo is not really sharp, I tried to use also the manual aperture, without success. Also the videos, independently from the 4K, C4K or 5.1k, auto mode or manual. My Air2s did a better job. For such a big MFT sensor it is really a mess. Do you know such a problem? Maybe my classic has a failure...
doesn't sound right dude, the classic is awesome and its the same 4/3 cameras as on the pro, I think you must have a dodgy unit, it should look better than the air2s is every way
@@DMProductions Thank you. I called DJI and they told me it could be an known issue with the installation/position of the lens. This leads to missing sharpness mapping on the sensor. I‘ll will return it and get a new one. Next chance😉

Do I need license for this drone?
Hi Darren can you recommend a editing software so I can use 5.1K on the classic, Tried iMovie ,lumafusion, devinci resolve they only seen to go to 4k,,I have a MacBook M1 Or iPad Pro's M1.
The MacBook m1 and DaVinci will handle it you just have to set it up correctly, or go onto safari and download the 90 day free trial of Final Cut Pro that’s very easy to learn and edits 5.1k like butter

If anyone can help. What is the max speed in N & S mode when using spotlight?? I was filming a yacht the other day and the drone could not reach its max speed in spotlight for some reason. Can someone please tell me why? And if the Mavic 3’s speed is governed in spotlight? Or is there a setting that I need to disable to have the full capabilities in spotlight?

@@DMProductions so is it confirmed? From the 1st of Jan 2023 you can only fly in the A3 conditions? Or require an A2 licence. I checked the DJI website and they are still claiming that EEU countries which includes the UK can fly in category A1.

It appears to me that given the latest legacy extension of CAA rules in the UK that the Mavic 3 will be able to fly in Cat 2 for another three years whereas the Mavic 3 Class, because it has a C0 marking, will not. Am I right? I was about to buy the Classic but I am seriously considering a second hand Mavic 3

Awesome drone shame nowhere to fly it in uk ☹️ to many rules and regulations.
Get the a2 licence, took me 2 days and you can fly with only a 50m separation or use article 16 in the uk

Good review, despite the not so favorable weather at times! I was wondering around the question if mavic 3 is worth the higher price for the tele, but from what I saw as image quality, the tele is not ok (at least for me), as it is not even close to flagship smartphones with way smaller sensors... So I will definitely go for the Mavic 3 Classic.
Yeh the mavic 3 tele camera is good but I don’t use it much in my videos as the quality isn’t great. I use it for fun really. Hence the mavic 3 classic is a great buy

Right now at the DJI Store they have refurbished Mavic 3 for $1639 (full 2 year warranty)
That's basically +$40 over the Classic for the additional zoom camera. I bought one and it looks like brand new.

I don’t care how great their drones are, I refuse to buy another DJI drone until they offer a NFZ unlock for licensed drone pilots. There’s no way I will deal with having to unlock the drone from the manufacturer every time I need to fly in controlled airspace. I get LAANC authorization from the FAA and only fly in controlled airspace when authorized. It makes absolutely zero sense for DJI to restrict their drones like this, and it has cost me a job once where I couldn’t get it unlocked in the field, even though I had gotten FAA authorization to fly there.
You forgot the mention the elephant in the room, the CAA not recognising the category of this drone in the UK!
