Good video. No need to drag two hoses around for soft washing. I run a homemade blending manifold with two Pentair valves. One for soap and one for SH. No Pentair valve needed on the water supply. I run one 200 ft 5/8 Flexlla hose with a homemade wand and a Walmart / Home Depot adjustable tip. Just turn off the soap and SH Pentair valve and rinse away. This also flushed the 12 volt pump of SH I run a similar set up to yours out of my truck . I use my 4000 psi 4gpm only for concrete areas. I soft wash everything else. I like your channel and your to the point and not full of crap like most other PW channels. Most other PW channels are bragging about how much money they make off their jobs. The guys that are making money in the business don’t have to brag cause they are doing it. The others are just insecure. Keep the videos coming really enjoy your truthful and honest content. 👍
Great video! On a two man crew we run one guy soaping with 12 volt and a guy behind pressure wash rinsing. Single man crew its downstream and rinse with the same machine. Amazing work!!!
Joe, I work as a Gas srerviceman/ gas fitter for my local utility. I always give the rusted fittings a few good raps with a hammer when all else fails. Back up the fitting with something solid like a 5 pound hammer or a small anvil ( or vise ) and tap away. It usually always works on that rusted stuff.
That's the only way that I wash houses is with my soft wash 12v 5.5 gpm pump and big tank. Works great not much can go wrong if the pump breaks I just hook up another one. Very simple setup. I can reach beyond 2 stories with it. Made my own wand PVC pipe with quick disconnect and the Walmart blue adjustable nozzle. True about the two hoses takes a little longer but it's ok.
Joe I use a stainless steel downstream injector with stainless steel couplings made by GP it also has a ceramic ball. I've had no issues. Works great. If you'd like I could find the link where I bought it
Hey man, I found your videos just after I started getting everything together to start my own power washing company. Your videos are very helpful. I live in CT as well but not in your corner. I was hoping that I may be able to tag along with you for a day or two so I can learn a little more of the day to day workings of this business. Im not looking for any pay just some experience and advice.
Have a long set of jumper cables in your truck? If your 12 volt battery dies you can always hook up the jumpers off your truck battery. Worst case scenario you run the truck for a bit to keep that battery charged. Plan B is not enough, sometimes you need plan C!
Billy Davidson gave great info on downstream injectors....after you’re done with the job, take it off and soak in fresh water! Lasts a whole bunch longer!
The pressuretek injectors seem to last forever with us. We went through 3 this year without flushing them out. 208 houses so far. Maybe that is not a good ratio in the industry.
the injector comes with a small spring and a small ball when you use it and do not rinse it, the ball sticks, remove the hose and look for something small that can enter the small hole, just push down and the ball comes off, spray it with a little bit of w40 and it works perfect
Powerful Improvements when the injectors are new they work well depending on how much hose you have I always use 200 feet but I mix my chemicals depending on how dirty the house is, when you put more than 250 or 300 the injector does not sucker much chemical you need to put it in the middle of the line or you need to use your xjet
Great job Joe. I was wondering if you can do a video on your 12v gun you were using where you bought it from how you built it I like that design better than the PVC wand that I’m currently using. Thanks
New sub..very good stuff!! Your gonna have 1000 subs by the end of the week😁 Im looking to get into house and driveway cleaning..these vids are helping me a ton...Thank You👍🏻
I always remove my downstream injector at the end of the day and soak it in a bucket of clean water. Then before I put it back on I spray it with pb blaster
Hi bro, even better is the dosatron no maintenance at all.. no batch mixing.. connect straight into water supply, drop your suction tube straight into your full strength hypo and soap....adjust your ratios from 1 percent to 5 percent on the incremental scale.. the new version has a bypass valve on top on the dosatron.. lift the lever and your rinsing straight water.. best method on the market in my opinion.. quicker easier no batch mixing no leftover mix that can breakdown and no guess work from previous mix to new site job.. exactly mixture every time.. ps. Your surface cleaner you could buy an extension.. Quinn is breaking his back.. you could work quicker more upright.. 👍👍
Hey joe, I’m from Massachusetts so not far from you just wanted to say I love watching your video’s and I am looking to get into the soft wash industry myself, curious how long have you been in business for & how you like it so far? Thanks and keep these video’s coming!
That wood looks good on that deck (1st house). Is that regular wood or that man made stuff? Also, where did that stuff in the gutter come from? I don't see any trees nearby that would drop that stuff in there. Curious. Tip: Get your son a 48" wand so he doesn't have to bend over when using the surface washer...he's going to kill his back. Good hustle. Great job. Always good to have options.
Methodical2 deck is trex. Mud in gutters is 20 year old shingles granular and organic. Yeah we have a 48 but trigger crapped out. Lots of equipment failure lately
You still use la awesome detergent as a surfactant? Or have you found something that works better, dawn doesn't seem to let it stick long enough so I'm having to go with a way hotter mix. Thanks
Hey buddy quick way to get your battery charged up is run you wire from your battery to your salt watch you will never have to charge it again from your truck
Hello sir I started using pool shock 10% in 50gal drum. Work very well thank you for the advice. I do have a small problem I order from my pool store but they sent pool shock 12.5% now I understand it very strong but what should I do in a 15gal drum. I'm using a 15gal drum this time. My 55gal valve broke on me/help step on it. The store will not take it back because of covid-19.
Hi Joe, Just wanted to know which is the best chemical injector to buy for downstream (Non adjustable - vs - adjustable). Trying to figure out 20:1 or 10:1 ratio. Plus there are a few that claim 20% to 33% draw. Any information will be grateful. Do you have a link to the one you bought? Thanks, Michael C
Perhaps you need to look at the Skyvac System for gutters. I use it here in Perth, Western Australia. 40' reach, carbon fibre poles. Twin motor vacuum. No more ladder work.
@@powerfulimprovements Makes it so easy. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once it becomes a 2nd habit, you'll wonder why in the name of hell, you didn't do it earlier. Check out the video's on YT.
Powerful Improvements if you don’t mind , I’m starting out in Miami Florida and have been watching your vids to learn as you have very informative work. How would I mix to get 1% at the tip if I am down streaming also what type of 12v system is it ? Would I be able to use a regular 12v water pump like the ones you’d put on a truck for aux water? Or is it a special one because of the chemical?
Use General Pump SS injectors and SS fittings everywhere. You won't have anymore issues and that injector will last forever. Kynar barb, ceramic ball, hastolle c spring, SS 304 body. Get the 2.3 Injector that way it'll pull your 1.2% straight out of the 12% SH so you don't have to dick around diluting your downstream batch.
Try to use a product called fluid film. Let it sit for awhile and spray it on good. That should help as long as they aren't truly seized. It's a great product for corrosion prevention as well.
Get PB BLAST to loosen rusted parts!! WD 40 doesn’t do much. PB BLAST is the best! Turn rusted objects that you think need to be thrown away back from the dead!
Need to run your ejector off of your real they make a double ejector it works great it's a lot better than a single ejector you will not have to use your soft wash system near as much they sell it at the pressure washing store

Can you talk some about how you take payment, do you charge to get on schedule, prepayment, time of service
Lawn Commander we collect payment upon completion
Atleast you have the 12v option. I only downstream. Guess im just gonna keep spare injectors on the truck
Always keep spares
My downstream injector stopped working as well I soaked in it vinegar overnight and it works great again.
Power wash nice. Mine was rusted solid

Joshua Decker I’ve been using apple wash lately and elemonator. I usually hit at 1% sh. No longer using LA on house washing. Never used Dawn
@@powerfulimprovements was the LA not working or is apple wash just better?
Joshua Decker had some streaking issue so I switched back to Apple Wash. far superior soap. Has rinse aids in it
Have you thought about take one or both back seats and taking the seats out and building storage there?
They fold up out of the way well enough. I’m trying to get more stuff out of the cab so I can carry my helper and the dog etc.

When you say 1% what do you mean by that ? Is it 1% in the tank or coming out of the tip ?

I'm curious about how the windows are affected by soft washing. Do they need to be cleaned after?
Philip Lewis no they do not. Simply rinse thoroughly
Use a 5 gallon bucket with a "bucket hook" for cleaning gutters... less cleaning up the yard from gutter debris...

What hose you use for soft wash (12v)
Universal Audio & Video Systems inc kuritech 1/2”
Stainless Steel injectors the way to go.

How do u like 12v apply and pw rinsing ? Does it speed things up any? Im looking at doing both on my next job

Even with two people ? Dang i was hoping it would be faster apply n follow with rinse
Andrew Wolf maybe with 2 people. But barely.
I'm new to this what type of handle and tips do you use for the 12v..
