- Real estate and property expert Sofie Allsopp is helping homeowners Josh and Jordan sell their uninspiring bungalow in South Georgia. It lacks curb appeal which is stopping potential buyers from even looking and if they do make it past the front door the house interior is far from perfect.

I wonder how many people ran into the ghost coffee table!! You can barely see it!!
The plantings are criminally bad. The rest is a massive upgrade!
And the marble chips are going to be a nightmare.
Don’t really care for the white gravel in the front yard. But the house looks great. The patio is really cute!
Agree. A big no to that chunky white gravel. Brown mulch much much better
All that work on the outside and no one thought to edge the sidewalk?
I thought the same - with everything else so tidy, the sidewalk stuck out like an ugly thumb. Small detail, but the landscaper they used should have caught that.
Or put handles on the bifold doors so you can open them?!
The grass should be fertilized.
Stop!!! I haven’t watched yet and I’m questioning if I should. That no edging thing will drive me nuts lol
I painted my old fireplace white...wow what a difference and put candles in there..
It’s 2021 and I dare a buyer get mad at landscaping 😂! Everything is As is
What a beautiful transformation! I'm impressed!
I’ve always been taught to view a house as potential. I don’t understand how the majority of people seem to want everything already done to their tastes. Isn’t some of the fun in buying a new house, turning it into your home?
Yes, but most people lack the ability to see the potential and to envisage the transformation, oddly, they view a house seeing only the current furniture, contents, colours and wallpaper, the bathroom fittings and not the bones or opportunities.
All depends on the price. Where I live average decorating costs for a 4 bedroom house is 100k euros plus and some people can't get a mortage that has so much extra financing for decorating
Most people don’t want to do much
@@ShweMyaukMyauk Why they should want to do? Not everyone is handy and not everyone wants to spend extra time and money on fixing a house.
Many people don't have the time or skills to repaint and repair, and paying someone else to do it can be costly. In this house, doors are missing or broken, paint is unfinished or peeling, the patio looks grimy. And distracting furniture can keep people from envisioning the size and layout of a home. Some people are excited about fixing up a home, but other people want to move into a home that does not require so much upfront effort and that's totally fair.
There is no way they ever had this home staged.
To them "staged" meant borrowing her Mother's furniture and trying to DIY.
Only thing about the after I like is the couch.
Beautiful
The outside landscaping is dreadful. The inside is much better though.
Um...No it wasn't!
the inside goes perfectly with the outside. dirty looking, unfinished projects and no taste or sense of style. don't know what you saw on the tour....
Apparently these homeowners didn't realize effort on their part was needed to sell their house. They could have done so much, on their own, only for sweat equity.
That is the ugliest flowerbed I’ve ever seen. I didn’t think a flowerbed could be that ugly. Simply wow! Beyond awful.
I thought it was only me - I hated that white gravel - it was overwhelming and the plant choice to go with it, it was just so bad.
Love Sofie but this curb appeal isn't good.
Decent update.... they should have properly power washed the sidewalk and edged it....
She wears heels when she is sweeping outside.
Doesn’t everyone?
I do too. My wife doesn't mind.
@@smoath , 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sofie, are you related to Kirstie Allsoop in London who does the Location, Location, Location show?
No space? Was it not 3 bedrooms? 🤪
Laundry room is still in the dining room... 🤣🤣🤣
💙💙💙
These two are clueless. Heels to do yard work? Seriously. Their hands have never been dirty.
I was thinking the same thing. Great Minds Think Alike
My husband is so fastidious there is no way he would let our house look like that. Those people were just lazy.
That new front door is completely wrong for this style of home.
She never strays away from that green! Honestly most of her renovations are so disappointing and look very cheap. Such a shame
And it always costs 4000 which is a lot. I'm shocked she left all the blinds.
This house was loaded with every shade of green...ugh. then all the turquoise and red and yellow. It hurt my eyes.
Does she get a discount for the green color paint??
Nothing like a gaggle of nosey great grandmothers to repeat what they already knew than hire someone to do it!
Wow...
Ageism is a prejudice just as bad as any other... nosey 'great' grandmothers? Really? Of course this is scripted, but homebuyers will have said all that and more.
@ Cheryl Moss Be nice😏 she's putting her best 🦶🏽 forward for TV
A few blue arm chairs??????
was this filmed in the 80s or 90s?
What year were these episodes filmed?
I don't know but based on how some of these people dress it seems like 2009.
@@Xenon-4300 the lime green and red in decoration are in a lot of videos
It’s the flat roof. No house can look good with that roof.
I think these are old episodes that they're re-airing under the channel name Adobe. They want us to believe these episodes are months old, when in reality they are years old.
@@susanalexander7990 Agreed. It looks more like a school than a house. A different roof would improve the curb appeal, and that's just for starters. The poles in front don't appeal to me at all.
I do not think people care about the mixed patterns, the potential buyers understand that furniture will not stay!!!
Painting and sprucing up and basic lawn care and minor repairs that's what has to be done
I could do all that myself and I'm a senior!
Its funny when these couples are exasperated and say they tried everything!! ... just try tidying...
The white pots out front are nice, and it’s great they mowed, but they could have done the edges along the front path. Grass is growing over it. I don’t like the metal office desk on wheels. Looks cheap and nasty. And they have made the office so small with the wall length shelved cupboard. the dining table and chairs are awful. They look like outdoor chairs. And I also don’t like the colours in the back patio or any of the furniture there either.
You forgot the bathroom!
It's 'funny' how in previous episodes she tells the homeowners, "get rid of all your religious items",..."Your selling your home, not your lifestyle",...but then, she exhibits, Buddha statues & images of Ganesh or Eastern Mysticism & the like. It's like, Buddha & Ganesha, good,...Jesus, bad.
Wire patio chairs look uncomfortable to sit in.
Painting the porch posts and window trim black was a mistake in my opinion…it made it look like a rundown 1960’s elementary school. The original white was actually working and should have just been refreshed. Also agree about the landscaping…a collection of bad choices…and…I think the big stripes in the living room rug detract from the overall look…but other than that…the house looks great!
I do not understand the logic of the room placement. the dining room table would be in the room where the sofa stood, not in the hallway out to the patio. the living room could be in front of the fireplace, where the location of the washing machine does not matter.
how the heck does laundry get in a dining room
🕶🏡
White marble chips in the landscape: yuck! That never fails to look cheap and ugly. It make the house look like a trailer. And the current owners obviously were coached on everything to say. All was so fake.
never cut towards dirt without glasses; i've had dirt in my eye from that. not good.
They seem so out of touch with their junk. Looks like they weren't truly interested. Unless this is the type of case this show looks for. I've only seen 2 but both of the couples were clueless.
It would be much better without the god dam terrible music
I don't know who wrote the dialogues but they overdid it this time. That lady likes acting too much -_- Also going berserk on those poor plants was stressful to watch... A bit of shaping and mulch around those shrubs would do wonders. And nice grass of course.
First, the house looks dirty.
Can't believe how stupid people are ! How do you expect to sell it like in the beginning ?
this is an OLD video ... with an August date
So may young lazy people on these shows parents should let their children clean up a little when they are younger
Those 2 are just let’s say LAZY
Lazy and no pride in ownership. Agree with edging and power washing sidewalk.
That necklace the realtor was wearing was tre’ dreadful!
There's that ugly green again. I would not let anybody put that color in my house.
Gardening in heels 😂. Need a better bench. That looks awful should have had a chair instead 19:55 We did the work a normal maintained house needs …🙄
This house is like this couple - completely unlikable
$5000 is too much
Ugh the stupid music over her talking... Why why why? Awful.
I agree it the music SO LOUD. Absolutely spoils it.
Now I'm sure this is Totally scripted. The art print she gushed over is hideous. Who likes living with light grey? To me it is depressing and like an unfinished basement wall. Give me white or cream.
70s action movie music over their voices... No wonder it's not on air now. Distracting. Annoying.
How in the world can they be stumped? Seriously
They seem pretty lazy wow this place
This renovation is disappointing. Too blind.
